Robert and I are having movie day today and decided to watch something from Netflix. We came across the movie, Lifted. It was from 2010 but neither of us had seen it. There are several movies we have seen, as I am sure many of you have, that have inspired us, made us laugh, made us cry, and feel a range of emotions overall. Lifted is one of those films that will makes you pause and remember the heroes that fight for our country every day. It is a movie that will bring the strongest of men to tears. Lifted is endorsed by the National Veterans Foundation, Ride 2 Recovery for Wounded Soldiers, Guide On, Stars and Stripes Foundation, and Harvest Rock Church.
Lifted is an uplifting story about a young boy with struggles at home and being bullied at school. Henry’s father is deployed to Afghanistan, and his world completely falls apart. His grandfather is extremely racist and abusive, and unfortunately Henry must endure being around him. Henry uses his remarkable voice to help overcome his struggles and challenges.
