For example, today in the local paper, there was one SS, and if you buy the New Orleans paper, you get one RP, but that RP only has two $2 Qs that I'm even interested in. Buying a $2 newspaper doesn't make much sense for $4 worth of coupons, honestly.

Sorry for the rant, but it just gets frustrating when you live in the biggest city in the state that is one of the poorest in the country and somehow we don't get crap for coupons.
The advocate always has smart source and P&G but my rp comes in the mail although it isn't usually the whole thing sadly. I live in denham springs. Where can I find the Nola paper? I'd like to check it out for the rp.

Did you know...

SmartSource has different versions of their inserts? The covers may look the same, but the insides may change; the order of the coupons or which coupons you get.

In FL there are several papers that come out in my area, some free and the Paid versions. When I get the paid versions(the ones you buy at the store or subscribe to), I get different coupons than I do in the free versions. For instance, I got 3 versions of the SS on 3/25. You can tell by reading the spine of the insert, like you would a book. It contains the marketing company, SS website, date, version, and which newspapers it was inserted into.

Looks like this

News America Marketing (phone #) www. smartsource. com A News Corporation Co. 3/25/12 FSI 232-1 What's the Deal

The FSI # is the important thing. I also got 234-1 and 235-1 in different papers. So certain coupons may only be in one version. Like the 1/1 Speedstick, was only in the 235-1 version.

So this is why some people may get coupons that others don't. So not only are coupons regional, they vary by newspaper. So before you promise someone 20 yogurt coupons, because you assume you have them in all of your 20 inserts, be sure to check the spine to see if they all match.

Hope this makes sense.

I live in a smaller town not too far from 2 major cities. All the newspapers carry the inserts but they vary quite a bit. If i can get my hands on one of the very limited out of town papers, i ]get better coupons.

My local paper carries all the "correct" inserts-- but: Sometimes the lists are not accurate to my paper-- i.e. maybe the list will say there is a revlon coupon for x off of 1, but there is NO revlon in my paper-- but there May be coupons that aren't in the list. This makes using the internet very hard to plan- and frankly, I am not good at it on my own. Additionally- when I find a listing here that says ooh, .50 off of 1 crest toothpaste- mine might be $1.00 off. Which is awesome.
My question is- how do I go about finding what ads are in MY local paper- vs the semi-local paper... I bought 2 each this week (local and semi local) and the ads are different. Aside from going through them manually myself, is there a way to get the proper listing of each ad set from each paper?
TIA!!

I think the best bet for those of you that can't seem to get all of the inserts in your paper is to use the clipping services. I sometimes have to resort to these when I want a coupon that isn't in my paper because they're regional, or you could use the trade forum to trade Q's that aren't in your region. I've done this also. I started couponing heavy 2 summers ago but slacked off in Oct when my mom got sick. I am now getting back into it heavy again. I DD and get a ton of coupons that I'm willing to give to friends and family and trade because there's no way I will use all of them. I send my expired Q's to the Military so they can use them. Good luck!
