Do you have any 4th of July traditions?
 Hi,  Our tradition is BBQ'ing, watermelon, homemade ice cream, playing horseshoes, and of course..fireworks.  This year we'll be camping and tubing down the Gaudalupe river, but I've got the charcoal and horseshoe game loaded, the ice cream maker & fixin's ready to go, and a few sparklers and glow sticks for the kids (it's so dry not sure the campground will let us anything else).  Tell us what you do to have a fun 4th. WUC Moderator & Exchange Coordinator Holiday & Special Day Forum Leader  Kindness Does Matter Do for other's as you would have them do for you. We go to my parent's cabin in WI and my Sister's family is there as well.
Everyone decorates their pontoons and boats with streamers, flags, etc and there is a huge boat parade around the whole lake. We bbq There are a lot of fireworks all over the lake. My Dad and Brother in law buy several and set off some pretty huge ones! We normally go for the full week but I can't this year because I have daily radiation. The clinic is closed Fri so we'll go Thurs eve - Sun. It's a lot of fun & great family time!

We usually go watch the big ones that the fairgrounds has and come home later and do some of our own... the kids love the big ones
This year we might just be doing our own because we moved to a new small city and i have not heard if they are doing the big fireworks... We also take our little ones out to dinner

well we did, but they cancelled the fireworks show so we are going away for the weekend instead

We usually have a cookout with our church family which includes a ton of contests and games, cornhole, and good food!

We always drive to my SIL house in Maryland to BBQ and watch the fireworks.

We have a BBQ at my grandma's. Everyone pitches in and brings something. Then, once it gets darker out, we sit in front of her house (actually in front of my parents', aunt's and grandma's houses since they live right next to each other) and watch the fireworks display usually done by my uncles and DH. It's fun!!

We go on the base and they have a carnival and fireworks usually on July 3. Then on July 4th we bbq and do our own fireworks.
