Organizing and cutting coupons can be one of the most challenging tasks to do in saving money.
There is no right way as long as you are organized in your own way! Here are a few great ways:
Things that don't work:
I use the bin method as I have a lot of coupons. Every Sunday I sit down with all the ads I am interested in. Then, I have a zipper pencil folder for each store I shop in. Each zipper folder is a different color and see through. The zipper folders are stored in a 3 ring binder. I then determine what is on sale at each store and put it in the appropriate zipper folder. I only bring that zipper folder into the store (so I don't lose all my coupons. (things happen). Of course if I find something on sale that maybe was not listed in the ad, I just run out to the car to get the rest of my coupons! Works like a charm. I have tried all the ways above and I have found this is what works for me. Try a few of them out and see what you think! Here's to better organization! thanks for the info. I was using just a regular coupon organizer but all my coupons would no longer fit into it so I switched to the binder/baseball sleeves which works much better for me. I like the idea of getting a zipper pouch for each store also. I will have to go get me some of those. Thanks again for all the great info.

I use the binder method - with baseball card type sheets to put the coupons in. I have several catagories - this makes it easy to locate the desired coupons while at the store. I also recently have added some full size clear sheet holders. I use one while I'm in the store to put the Q's in that I collect as I am shopping - this makes it easy when I get to the cashier - all my Q's are ready to go. I also use these full sheet holders to hold any specials - like Walgreens monthly coupon book. Since I have been organized, it seems that I do better in using my Q's & saving.

I need to over haul my method - Not even sure if you can call it a method.... I'm leaning to the binder method - a lot of folks seem to use that method successfully - I'll prob have a two style system eventually (binder and bin).
Copying coupons is illegal!!!
Please do NOT use coupons illegally it hurts everyone! |

hey all I was just thinking about overhauling my system too. I am currently with the shoebox, but I have gotten all the supplies together for the binder. I have had the stuff for about 3 weeks now, I'm just nervous about the change. I had the binder type in 2006. And I found it not as fast to locate my coupons in the binder. I'm feeling the need to chage, to update but I still feel like I need help.......

I use the baseball card holders in a 3 ring binder and I list all my coupons on a spreadsheet with exp dates and how many of each I have. That way I can sort it as needed in either abc order or by exp date.
