You ask “How do I know I have a problem?” Well the answer is very simple. Look around your desk and home. Do you have enough coupons to cover the wall’s in the largest room of your home? Do you have coupons for items you have never heard of? Do you speak in a foreign language unrecognizable to anyone else? For example: RRs, ECBs, FAR, BOGO, etc…

Step 1: We admitted we were powerless over coupons — that our lives had become unmanageable.

Ok maybe not our lives but the coupons have definitely become unmanageble – they are everywhere.

Step 2: Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

Now if all those stores could just figure out what “one per item” or “one per purchase” it could really help my sanity.

Step 3: Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

Ok I will admit I have occassionally cleared the shelves shelfishly and purchased every clearance item not leaving any more for anyone else.

Step 4: Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

Hmmm…I can have a couple of really good auctions using some of my stockpile items and some of those extra coupons I have around.

Step 5: Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

Ok I admit I threw some things that were in the closet away to make more room for stockpile items and later told dh that I didn't know where those items were.

Step 6: Sought through prayer.

Please let them build a Krogers and a Meijers here in town. And please let them do double and triple coupons.

Step 7: Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to non-coupon users, and to practice these principles in all our shopping trips.

Must teach more classes on how easy it is to use coupons.
