How Many Papers Should I Buy? The correct answer is…. IT DEPENDS! How many papers you should buy depends on many things like your personal situation, family size, and local store policies. I generally buy 5-8 papers a week in the winter. In the summer, I dumpster dive and only buy two each week. WEUSECOUPONS.COM recommends (if you’re a serious coupon shopper) buying 2-5 papers each week. Many of our members urge everyone to get ten papers a week. Different strokes for different folks! First, let’s address a simple question: Why buy more than one paper? Don’t be afraid of buying multiple copies of the paper. In order to save BIG, you have to redeem lots of coupons! In order to redeem lots of coupons, you have to HAVE them! How good are the coupons in the paper? That is another determining factor in how many papers to buy. You can check the Preview Forums here on WeUseCoupons to discover what is in the paper. If there are going to be great coupons, I may buy 10 papers. If they are just okay, I’ll buy 5. Another great reason is that it takes about the same amount of time to clip and organize coupons from SIX papers as it does from ONE paper. The key is having a good system. There is not much extra time for coupon preparation, and when you consider the savings associated with redeeming multiple coupons at the same time, it’s a no brainer to buy multiple papers. The weekly store sales such as a buy-one-get-one (BOGO) free sale are the final fantastic reason to buy at least two papers each week. Generally stores will allow you to use 2 coupons on those sales, BUT you must have the two coupons to use. If you buy at least two papers every week, it allows you to really take advantage of a BOGO sale. Here are a few tips to follow: 1. Don’t be afraid of buying multiple copies of the paper. 2. Find somewhere that sells them for cheap. 3. Buy at least 2 copies. 4. Check out recycling centers or paper dumpsters! (Especially if you’re worried about buying multiple sets of papers) 5. Local hotels and eateries (like Panera Bread & Starbucks) generally have extra papers. 6. Ask your friends, family or co-workers for coupons. You will be surprised at how many are eager to help. You never know what will make something free! Coupons are a great way to save money. The more you have, the more you will save. You Gotta Try SwagBucks!!! We normally buy 4 papers, and there is a different paper delivered. If there's a really good coupon coming out that we like to use, we'll buy extra!!

If you go to Coupon Resources/Scoupon Scheduler there is a list of which insert is coming whick week. This could help you know in advance which papers to buy. With all the papers teetering on the edge of bankuptcy, some of the papers info may change.

the guy at the store knows me. i literally go there every sunday morning and open the paper and figure out how many work for me then buy up to 3. i then have my mom and 3 friends at work who give me their coupons. im going to get started on the dumpster diving, too.
