I am sure you are all thinking this girl is crazy, but believe it or not this really works!
One of the many fabulous things about this hobby is it really does not cost a lot to do (unlike husband's woodworking hobby!). You get a bunch of coupons and you stockpile. And then you stockpile some more. And then..you have no place to live because you keep finding things for free everywhere you go! I know you know what I am talking about! Got toothpaste under your bed? Shampoo in your closet? Maxi-pads for your grand children that aren't even born yet? Face it..you have to donate that stuff, give it away or sell it! Well, you can only give so much away before your friends think you have a serious problem. And sure you can donate it the many food banks, but even if you got these items for free, they did cost you - Gas, time, cutting coupons etc.. Why not donate some, give away some and sell some?? Cooler weather is coming - This would be a great time to prepare for next years sale! You would have 8 months or so to accumulate so much stuff you will have no choice! I guarantee once you start doing it, you will be hooked! No here is the best part! Take your earnings from the sale and start paying off those Visa and Master Cards..And OMG how would it feel not to have a car payment? Take it from someone who has got this down to a science! June of 2008, I had $25,000 in loans...After October 2009 I will be at 0!! All because I had garage sales selling my stockpile items. There are many members on this site already doing this, including MrCoupon! Go to the stockpile forum and see all the success stories. Life Takes Visa... I say VISA TAKES LIFE! It doesn't matter if you make $100 or $1000 just do it! |

Thanks Moon. You all have inspired me so much and I have had three sells this summer. One doing 3200, one at 1953, and the last one at 4482.68 I was super excited and it caught us up on billls and paid one loan off so far. I have way more to go, but am working for it and by next year hope to have half of it gone if not all of it. I have been shopping like crazey this week and hopefully next few weeks and I can have another sale. Fingers crossed.

what great stories. I am having my first stockpile sale october 2nd and 3rd. I hope to make a decent profit. I live in the land of no doubles so I have to work really hard to get grocery items free. And work really hard to get the deals to have enough to sale. But hopefully this will all pay off soon. My dd also has down syndrome and they are having their buddy walk on October 17th so we are planning on donating a good portion of this sale to the cause.

I can tell you that since I first met you when I was a fresh stockpiler/newbie, Everything has changed for me 93.4%. Now I live on my stockpile/garage sale $ and don't have to take anything out of the bank. Now all my 'day' job money goes on my bills. I have regulars that come out several times a week. Normally make at least $100.00 a week min. on what people buy from me at my home. Real Garage sales will bring in 1800 to 2500. That has paid off 3 CC's this year alone. One card has about $2400 left to pay off. Last CC. Once I pay them off I chop them up, cancel them and put the pieces in a jar above my pc. So every time I sit here to look at the deals on WUC I see it.
Next will be my Car. With all my CC's out of the way, I will have nothing else to pay on but my car! Mortgage will be last for sure. ![]() It feel's so good to not have all the $ going out with nothing to show for it. You inspire me! |

I am thinking of doing this next summer. I am a sahm and will be couponing as my contributions to the house. I cant really work outside the home, my husband who i love dearly is Bi polar that isnt very manageable and sadly enough i do have to say i dont trust him alone with the kids for 8 hours aday
This will be my income. I was planning a huge yard sale this past summer for all my baby stuff. than that little test came back with two blue stripes! so Now that my youngest son is 2 months old by summer of 2010 i should have a good bit of baby stuff as well as a stockpile to sell! Any tips on what to really go for to supply the stock up sale would be awesome. I am about outta room under our crib just from glade candles but thats about all i have so far! TIA |

I just found out that my local corner store will let me have all the coupons from the papers they do not sell, if I come around 10:30pm. This is great because one clerk told me no early today. So, now I have a total of 33 inserts from this week. Yeah, me. Thanks for all the ideas of ways to find coupons.

When you buy coupons on Ebay, How long does it take to arrive? I have never used Ebay for couponing before so I am curious.

Depends on what part of the country you order from..
Try to order from someone in the same state as you if possible. Could be a couple days to a week.. I have had some take 3 weeks..and that really makes me mad! |
