Leaf WUC Coupon your way out of Debt!

I am sure you are all thinking this girl is crazy, but believe it or not this really works!

One of the many fabulous things about this hobby is it really does not cost a lot to do (unlike husband's woodworking hobby!). You get a bunch of coupons and you stockpile. And then you stockpile some more. And then..you have no place to live because you keep finding things for free everywhere you go!

I know you know what I am talking about! Got toothpaste under your bed? Shampoo in your closet? Maxi-pads for your grand children that aren't even born yet?

Face it..you have to donate that stuff, give it away or sell it!

Well, you can only give so much away before your friends think you have a serious problem. And sure you can donate it the many food banks, but even if you got these items for free, they did cost you - Gas, time, cutting coupons etc..

Why not donate some, give away some and sell some??

Cooler weather is coming - This would be a great time to prepare for next years sale! You would have 8 months or so to accumulate so much stuff you will have no choice!

I guarantee once you start doing it, you will be hooked!

No here is the best part! Take your earnings from the sale and start paying off those Visa and Master Cards..And OMG how would it feel not to have a car payment?

Take it from someone who has got this down to a science! June of 2008, I had $25,000 in loans...After October 2009 I will be at 0!!

All because I had garage sales selling my stockpile items. There are many members on this site already doing this, including MrCoupon!

Go to the stockpile forum and see all the success stories.

Life Takes Visa...

I say

VISA TAKES LIFE!

It doesn't matter if you make $100 or $1000 just do it!

My Coupons are my American Express Card - Don't leave home without them!

it matters you can email them ask them if you need them asap if its possible. if its buy it now auctions generally you can pay a dollar and get it shipped faster. if its an auction it takes longer because you ahve to wait for the auction to finish

WOW! This article and the comments were tremendous! We have a car w/ a high payment and for many years and I don't know how we're going to do it. Reading these stories and knowing that you all are regular people like me completely inspires me. This is my goal to get out of debt.

probably a ridiculously naive question but don't any of these guys also offer the insert coupons online? or do the deals with the papers prevent that?

Since I don't have a house and cannot do a yard sale, I use the money that I make online from doing surveys to make an additional payment on my credit cards. I earn on average $70 a month from doing surveys. THat's another way you can work on getting out of debt, especially for those like myself who live in an apartment and cannot do yard sales.

I used to live in an apartment and had a ton of yardsales. I guess it all depends on the rules at your apartment complex. Surveys takes up too much time, more less over work and under paid on those. I been there and done that.

You could always take your stuff and set up along a roadway, if this is allowed. Just a thought

Great article Sam! Thank you!

I live in an area that is off the beaten path plus add in the fact that I hate holding yard sales because I grew up with a mother who had one every weekened from Spring to early Fall... that did me in.

I was telling dh about yours and a few of the others posts on here about your stockpile yard sales though.

I'd love to try one and see but where I live, I doubt anyone would come out this far.

Unfortunately, no, my apartment complex does not allow this. In my area, cops don't let ANYONE without a license sell anything along the side of the road. And with my tiny car, it would not even be worth the time, energy, and expense to rent a spot at a flea market. Tried that once and it wasn't worth it at all (and my small apt really doesn't have enough storage for even regular household items). Since I only work part time, surveys are working great for me. BUt each person needs to do what works best for them!

From personal experience, my stockpile sales have saved us 3 times in the past few months. Ladies and Gents, this REALLY does work. I wasn't a believer but now i"m hooked. For the ones without the ability for a traditional yardsale, tell your friends, coworkers, neighbors and deliver the stuff or have them come over. I have made multiple deliveries to work and made money. HTH

Are grocery donations tax deductible? If so is that full price or after coupon price?
