When To Call A Store's Corporate Office
There has been a lot of discussion about when do you call and either complain or compliment a store.
Some of the reasons that I would call to complain:
- There is a "new" policy in place that is direct contradiction to the store's verified coupon policy. (for example: Walmart's official coupon policy on their website states that they will accept internet printable coupons. If the store refuses to accept them - call corporate.)
- You have been accused of coupon fraud where you are 100% certain that you are not committing coupon fraud.
- The cashier tells you that they can't take that coupon because that would mean you get the item for free.
We could have multiple pages listing reasons and when you should call to complain.
When should you call to give a compliment:
- When you feel the store manager, an employee of the store or a cashier has given you excellent service and you want the corporate office to know what a great job they are doing.
When should you not call:
- When you are crying, cussing, or ranting. Wait until you calm down some before calling corporate. You will get much further presenting the facts in a calm voice rather than shouting, screaming and crying to corporate.
