I just started printing q's this week at my mom's and noticed after I got home that a lot of mine do say do not double. I was thinking that it kind of made it not worth my time for some of them, because the doubling is what makes for free or very low oop. So, there are places that will double them anyway? Anywhere besides bi-lo? I never go there, and really don't even know if there is one around here.

There has been some talk of this earlier this week with another store where basically the bar code is being disregarded. If it states DND on the coupon and it starts with a 5, they are taking the option of not doubling, which is horrible, IMO! So not sure how dependable the 5 is gonna be anymore for guaranteeing a coupon will double.......

I had this happen this week at another store with a .75 q that did not double. I hope this is just an oversight but have a very bad feeling that things are changing. I will see if I can find out a little more. I have a phone number for someone to call at BL with coupon questions.

The Bi-Lo stores here have always just scanned them and they would double if it was .60 or below and the q started with a 5... HOWEVER... if the coupon beeped for any reason and it said DND on it, then the cashier would key in the amount and it would not double for those DND coupons.

There is one Bi-lo store(a Super bi-lo) here that the q's will not double if the q says dnd. And it isn't something that the cashier does, it is somehow triggered by the coupon. Not sure how though. However, there is another store(been there for years) that the q's double unless they begin with a 9. I've just started shopping at the 2nd store instead of the Super bi-lo. I won't be surprised though if I go in one day and the q's don't double there either.

That would be a sad day for couponers I hope it never comes to this, I think with more people using q's nowadays that retailers are trying to find ways to curb coupon use. The sad thing is, if I can't use coupons then I will have to go back to buying the store brand of most items which would really be sad! (and my kiddos would be sooo disappointed)

I used the $.60 Old El Paso IPcoupons last night and they doubled..and I also used the IP for $.50 off Angel Soft that began with "5" but said DND and it did double!!!! So I guess the doubling varies from store to store and state to state.

I may be a day late and dollar short on this reply but here it goes any way......just for the info:
All Bi lo stores are different on their coupon policys. Some will even double up to .99 whereas others won't do it over .35 cents. It s all about there area and location of the store.
Looks like they would all have the same policy because they are all owned by Bilo llc but thats management diversion..... and it can change at any time.
