No, not always do they double. But, they do DOUBLE and TRIPLE alot!

I .......ssshhhhhh......work for Bilo too. Nothing is being made public now. It's still all in the working there at corporate. Food Lion may be getting them but I also heard that it's up to the Judge if that is to happen.
See C&S wholesalers also are putting up a bid for the stores too. {Along with others}
Right now the creditors committee is running the show and proving to the court that Bilo can be profitable.
So..........
It is my belief that Bilo will close many stores (ones that are obsolete and non profitable). These are small stores that probaly wont be missed.
Then they will restructure and work out of bankruptcy and become the small town grocer stores they started out as.
And some of the stores that Foodlion has went to and took measurements of dont make sense because some have foodlion's right across the street from those stores. Some of those food lions are NEW.
So I think they are just going to buy some of the assets such as shelving, freezers, displays, inventory....etc after those stores have closed.
Bilo has wonderful division they just need to quit trying to keep up with Walmart. I've seen some of these Super Bilo's that have jewelry stores and dry clearners in them.....thats too much.
Lets pray that they stay.........

From an occasional Bloom shopper - their stores are lovely, and their selection is great - but it's been my experience they aren't interested in being really price competitive day in and out.

However, they are one of 3 companies in my area that will Triple - so it is a good thing if you have no Triples near you currently.

But - here in MD, I find Bloom's prices high compared to others. They are popular here because people in DC have more money than brains...

Well, all I know is that our Food Lion Manger told me that it is almost a done deal. I hope she is wrong. I don't think anyone could compete with the Bi-Lo coupon policy. I for one would miss them greatly. I would miss even the small stores, that is the one I shop at the most it is the most convenient and if it closes it would only leave us one, that one for sure would not stay a Bi-lo it is a big nice new store.

Where there is smoke there is fire so I am sure new stores will take its place.

What I would miss most is the unlimited quantities Bi-Lo allows. I always try and not clear the shelves like a good little couponer but last week I got for example 16 bags of free dog food in 2 trips.

My Bi-Lo is great about coupons, rainchecks, etc.

I hadn't seen this one manager in a little while and saw him in there the other night. He spotted me and said, "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while! You been doin' ok?

They really like their customers and treat them great. I'll miss that!
