What do you use for organizing coupons? I love my binder but I really need to change it because the time clipping isn't worth sitting for hours and I don't wanna miss a deal help!

I used the binder, got away for a while (whole inserts, envelopes) but I was too disorganized, so back to the binder....and OMG- we hit the motherload with all those inserts yesterday! I did spend hours cutting and sorting/filing, but I'm good to go!
It's so easy to find what I want, and my Shaws and S&S and CVS (my 3 haunts) have items on clearance- I missed out on 12 bottles of Soaftsoap body wash once for free- on clearance for $1. I knew that I had .50/1 at home, so I passed, ran home (I could walk it's so close) and got the q's and of course by the time I came back they were gone...so, it's back to the binder! |

I tried the binder, was too shy to take it into the store, now I am trying out a small photo album that fits in my purse so I have no excuse not to have it.

I have 2 binders also and just can't justify anything else because I might miss out on a deal.

I use the binder, but I do not take it in the store. I have learned not to chase any deals. I shop according to the flyer. I add a few items if the family needs something special, but that is it. I also only clip those coupons that i know that the family will need or actually use. I organize my binder according to the aisles at Publix since that is where I do my shopping. Rarely will I go to CVS. I found that if I do not look for the deals and do not know about the deals I will not miss the deals. I am finding that I save a lot of money doing things this way. I stockpile only what the family will actually use in a few months time, the sales cycle every 3-4 months.

I used to use a Binder (would always leave it in the car when shopping) and take the coupons I want to use out. I got those pencil cases, that kids use, to hold the coupons and had a box for each store. Now a days I just use envelopes, sorted by categories, to hold my coupons.

If you've been couponing and stockpiling for a while, it is likely that you have decent stockpiles of many products. If you miss out on a good clearance deal that would allow you to add more free shampoo, for example, to your stockpile, is it really worth the time and effort it took to be able to get that deal on the spot? That is what you have to ask yourself. What is the real monetary value of all the time that you spend clipping and filing and does it yield more products that you REALLY NEED that you can rarely get doing regular deals or does it tend to yield the same products that you've gotten for free many times before? If it's really THAT good of a deal and something that you REALLY NEED, load the stuff in your cart, take it to CS, and let them know that you need to run home and you'll be back ASAP to finish your shopping. I really hope you find an alternative that works for you. |

No binder here. I file my inserts by date and keep them in a portable hanging file box that I can put in my car and take with me on my shopping trips. No reason to miss out on a deal that way and saves you hours and hours of clipping and sorting.

I actually use both. The file box holds the unclipped collated inserts then a binder for non insert Qs along with those I clipped and brought but had stock issues or whatever as well as it allows me to trash the older inserts that have say one good q left. I clip that q and file in binder and trash the rest of the insert.
I can not see clipping everything and putting in a binder, nor would I k ow where u put the Ips if I didn't have a binder so I just use a hybrid of the 2. https://www.endorse.com/referral/Sha...AoRI-cag9g==AB |
