I have heard good things about Same Kind of Different as Me.
Have you ever read Fannie Flagg? There is a book called Redbird Christmas that I just know you would LOVE. She wrote Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe (which is where the movie came from) as well as several stories about a quaint Missouri town and all the people tied to it. She is one of those authors where I will buy the hardback without reading any reviews...and I usually know when the next one is coming out. YOU WOULD LOVE HER! I am sure they have some of her stuff at any decent library if you want to try it out. |

I thoroughly enjoyed The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society. Have you read it? It's written as a series of letters and is a little weird at first but once you get into it it's a great read!
I also enjoyed Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen. I found it a very easy and entertaining read. |
