I have worked with ChaCha since 2008 answering questions from people who call or text them in. Questions vary. Anything from a phone number or how to do something. It is a lot of fun. Not much money... possibly a couple hundred extra a month maybe more or less just depends on what you put into it.

Very flexible work when you want as much as you want.

Anyway, here is some basic info.

Expeditors (EX)- answer some easy questions, put in sentence format/proper grammar send to Specialist

Specialists (SP/GE) - Research the internet to find the answers. Must have an internet source to back up any answer they give.

Transcribers (VT) - Transcribe questions that are called in and then send to an Expeditor.

There are two pay options.

Cash - for expeditors you get paid .02 cents per question or Specialists get paid btw .10-.20 cents per question. It doesn't sound like much, but it usually equals out to about $3+ per hour as you get better and faster.

Points - you work for points and they turn to cash on the 2nd of the following month. This is only better than points if you are one of the top 25 point earners since they get double what they made.

Payments - There is a Pay Me Now option where you sign up with the bank ChaCha works with. You get a ChaCha card and for a $2 fee you can cash out anytime you want. If you do Pay Me Monthly you have to have at least $100 in your account and it is paid automatically on the 15th of the month with no fee.

ChaCha currently has around 55,000 guides who are registered. Not necessarily active, but have signed up. We answer over a million questions a day. Half a Billion have been answered in the last 2 years. I have never had any issues with the company not being legit. You aren't going to get rich with ChaCha and it doesn't replace a "real" job, but it is a little extra when most of us are on our computers all day and not making anything. I find the work fun since you get to learn new things

Do the questions come over on your phone?

No, it is all done on the internet.

They questions are sent from the customer by text or by calling them in. They get all answers back as a text message.

I tried to sign up today ... twice - the "day" portion of the birthday, just says "day" - doesn't give you an option of 1, 2, 3, etc

I just tried it. Did you choose a month first? When I did it if I click on day it says 'day' like you had, but if you choose a month and then the day it seemed to work.

I signed up and was a specialist/generalist and the questions that come in were hard to find and I spent like 7+ min on one question just to have them tell me I took to long and boot me. For me it was a complete waste of time. I have heard a lot of people though that find it very worth while.
I don't know if I should just cash out and only get $1 for all my time or see if there would be a way I could switch to expeditor. I thought it would be easier but there are sites you can't use as an answer and questions you just can't find an answer to.

I was a specialist for awhile. I switched to ex and it super easy since you don't have to look things up. If they are hiring for ex you can switch. I can send you the info when I get on my computer. I have one referral who just switched from ex to a specialist and said she was making 3x as much. Before they were both making about the same.
