I've had my share of neighbors, but luckily now I don't have too many, we live next to my inlaws though LOL.

meet the neighbors

Neighbors one to the right of us
-usually pretty ok but 2 years ago they decided to start trimming back some tree branches. which would have been fine IF the tree branches had been in THEIR yard. yeah yeah. they came in OUR yard and cut branches off OUR tree. then didnt tell us they did it and left the HUGE branch(like a 100 pound branch() behind our garage. the city inspectors chose THAT year to inspect and threatened us with a fine if we didnt dispose of it. we had to pay for the disposal. we were pretty ticked.

Neighbor two across the street
-intersting household. there are 4 generations of women living there. men come and go but the great grandma, grandma, daughter, grandaugher and GREAT grandchild all live there. its like a clown car house. i have NO idea hwo they manage it. the great grandma was driving till about 5 years ago. yeah, she could not SEE to drive!! it was CRAZY how she would park. OMG
which leads to
9/11 yeah. on that day they had parked blocking part of our driveway(great grandma at it again)i saw her and asked her to move her car. she didnt. so i left a very very polite note on the car explaing that parking where they were was causiging issue. i then found out about the stuff with the twin towers and my friends and i were glued to the teleivision CRYING our hearts out. this !@#$@! called the cops cause i left a note on her car saying i was harrassing her!?! WTF for real . i told the cop "they dont have anything BETTER to do today than to call you over for this?" he could even see what i meant!! had the car TOWED. idiots.

funny, we get along FINE now. how times change

Neighbor 3 who takes the cake for crazy neighbors
Old Joe and his wife live to the left of us. he is a raging alcoholic. he will be out the door at 10 minutes to 8 am to go buy beer!! KID YOU NOT. he then drinks from when he gets back ALL DAY doing yardwork!! dont ask me how me manages it. but he does. I thought he was having a heart attack once, he wasnt he was just DRUNK. his wife told me so. he yells profanity at her all day long and treats her like total CRUD. but here are some other issues we have had

-we cannot put laundry on our line to dry. its close to the fence and he likes to spray the garden hose over the fence on our laundry
-he called the cops saying we were smoking POT on the porch when a friend of mine in tye died clothing was smoking a rolled cigarette
-he edges the yard(loud and grating noise) and mowes the grass at 7am on a sunday. i kid you not
-he likes to dump all his leaves on OUR yard saying they are ALL from OUR tree so WE need to take care of them(i put them back during the night)
-his oldest child(40 or so) leave blows for him now. but he leave blows with a super powered thingy that blows ROCKS and leaves IN TO OUR YARD ON PURPOSE. which means when someone mows the grass they often get bruised from the kicked back rocks.
-he plays the same 50's soundtrack/tape something every day all day from 7am till sundown LOUD as heck
-his dog died, sorry about that, but before it died it barked OUTSIDE all day from SUN UP to SUN DOWN. drove us NUTS.
-he used to mow some grass on OUR side of the fence saying he needed to to make HIS yard look better(WTF what?) and he would PEEP in our windows while going past andone time got an eyefull of my 20 year old friend NAKED. she called the cops on him needless to say and he ahs stopped.

and i manage an apartment building on our block about kiddy corner from us. well one of my tenants used to run a road side delivery drug dealing service. i took picks for weeks before the cops would bust them . UGH.

The way it sounds I'm glad I live in the stefford neighborhood. When we moved here 5 years ago you do not see anyone or hear any noises. I like my windows open all the time the neighbors have their's shut. I like hanging my clothes outside. I'm sure the neighbors think I'm weird. When I open windows it moves the dust around because I don't have time to dust and with hardwood floors it all comes together into a pile then I just pick it up. I guess I spend too much time on here. LOL

i dont know if i can even say what our neighbor has done

we have a young couple with a little girl that live across from us. usually everyone keeps to themselves in our area. well this couple have parties all the time. atleast 4 a week. they rent a small home so its always an out door party where the play a creed cd OVER AND OVER AND OVER. i swear if i hear arms wide open again im going to flip. they have this metal trash can they burn a fire in and they all sit in the yard drunk and screaming(while the 2 yr old dd is inside screaming) well a month ago im looking out our bedroom window because the girl is screaming at some kid about how "she was sorry so' and so' left and he didnt get to bang her and she'll make it up to him" so she pulls her pants down and he starts... um... having a snack? as you could say. i seriously about died.

so the ongoing saga to the left of us.

for 2 weeks the leaf pile has been getting kicked back and forth. well the old coot sent his poor wife out last night at dusk to SWEEP the leaves in to our yard. SIGH>

about midnight i was out there raking them back on to his.

I can't believe that, over some leaves, why don't they just bag them up and put them with the trash....

Oh I forgot, my nephew (almost 20) is my neighbor, he lives with my mother in law. Well, yesterday he thought it would be funny to visit us at about 9:00 am and set off one of his stupid homemade firecrackers right out in the front yard! My two girls were still sleeping!! He likes to do tricks to me LOL At least I can get him back!! LOL
