I am sending expired coupons to a military communities every month that are overseas. Members will send me their APO address. They can use the expired coupons at the commissary and PX or BX (department type store for military). Overseas military bases allow patrons to use expired coupons up to 6 months after expiration date. I also will go through my inserts on Sunday and the ones I know I will never use I go ahead and put in package. The longer the expiration date on the coupons, the better. This gives them a chance to put in their coupon binders like we do here in the states.
FAQ answered: 1. Please when sending them, make sure they expire no earlier than April 1, 2011. I am going to do this every month or two so I want to make sure I am sending only one month old coupons. Also Register Rewards (RR) from walgreens are okay to send. They will take them at commissary overseas. 2. Please make sure coupons are cut. Please seperate into food, non-food. This will make it a lot easier on me as far as seperating them before I send out. Some members are even stapling exact coupons together for me and that helps a lot. 3. Do NOT send store coupons(target, walgreens, cvs, ect. Commissary WILL NOT take store coupons of any kind). Only catalina qs that DO NOT SAY the words "redeemable only at walgreens or Kroger ect". They can say "redeemable at Walgreens or Kroger, ect" but if the word ONLY is in there they cant use at the commissary. If you are not sure, just send and I will pass along as most catalinas are okay to use. 4. Expired Register Rewards are okay. Commissary takes Register rewards, so please send them if you have Walgreens register rewards you forgot to use. 5. Catalinas (coupons that print out of special machine at register) are okay to send as long as they have the special words Manufacturer coupon on them. 6. Expired fast food qs are okay. I know Burger King, MC Donalds and many many others are AAFES vendors and are at most overseas locations. I am sending a bunch of the free oatmeal McDonalds qs this month. 7. Please PM me to get address of where to send coupons. Please put OVERSEAS EXPIRED COUPONS in subject line of PM. I get lots of PMs everyday and don't want these PM's to get lost in my inbox. I will take care of everything else. When I get in envelopes/packages, I sort and make sure all have expiration dates ( i know sometimes while clipping qs ex. dates can get chopped off)and i make sure there are no store qs or qs that cannot be used on military installations. I then package up in large priority boxes and mail. Most packages weigh 20-30 lbs when I get done. I then take to post office on base, get it weighed and make sure all customs forms are filled out correctly. It usually takes anywhere from 7-14 days for them to receive packages overseas. ![]() Look at these NEW boxes!!!!!!!! They are flat rate large. I put beside the regular medium flat rate box to show how TALL they are. They are called the "game box" but are flat rate!!!!!!!!! How cool is that??? I can ship DOUBLE the coupons each time I ship out!!!!!!!!! I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength.
