I am really wanting to get to know everyone here that shops at the commissary. Please introduce yourself. I really want to get this commissary forum going. Thanks.

I will start:
My name is Mary. I have a DH Chris and 4 kids: Shawn (9), Devin (7), and Nathan (20 mo.), Natalie (20 mo.) We are stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB. We are PCSing to Sheppard in August. I can't wait. I am a southern girl so I think I will fit right in. I have been couponing for 4 years now. Couponing is my main hobby. I like the commissary because their prices are so low on must have items, produce, and meat. I do the majority of my stockpiling there also. The cashiers at my commissary all know me and actually praise my coupon usage instead of look at me like I am an alien when I hand them 200 coupons.

I cant wait to get to know everyone else also.

I will jump in. My hubby is a retired Marine did his 20 years and just retired this last December. We live closest to Quantico MCB. When I was in the reserves and we were stationed at Camp Lejeune I did my weekends and 2 weeks a year at Seymore Johnson. That was wayyyyyy back in the early 90's. ( LOL how time flies). Now we are up here for a while in Virginia with my 15 year old and 7 year old boys.


PS. I went to the Commisarry here on Tuesday after the holiday and there was a stockpile of frozen hamburger in the "gotta sell it now" freezer. Got 15 packs of 93% ground beef at 90C per pounds. Glad I have a nice tall freezer.

I don't do crazy couponing but it is nice to know that I can look here to find a better deal.

Another PS. If there is anybody out there that had an Ipod Touch or Iphone I downloaded a Grocery shopping thingy and it is great. You can even link to their website and put your list in that way or on the Ipod itself, plus you can put the prices of things in so you know about what you will be spending.

It is called Grocery G I think.

I'm Ashley. DH is Active Duty Army and we are stationed at Fort Stewart. We have two children, Maddy(5) and Brayden(4) and will be having another in Spetember (Clayton). I only shop the commissary for our meats and the really "good deals". Our commissary is very small, being re-modeled, and is ALWAYS crowded. Hopefully once the remodel is done it will be bigger and I can take advantage of it more.

Before my commissary here at Seymour Johnson afb got a remodel, it sucked really bad. No selection. Since the remodel, I love it.

I'm Tina my DH is AD Air Force and we are at Minot AFB, ND. My DS is 5 and my DD is 2. I shop mainly at my commissary it has the best deals as the only two other stores here are locally owned and the prices are pretty high. I do use Target a lot too but we don't have a Super Target so the grocery items are limited.

I'm Andie and DH is AD Air Force and we are also at Minot AFB. We have 1 DD, she's 6. I shop everywhere and anywhere that has a great deal at the moment, which is usually the commissary. I am getting to know a few people that work there, and they are helping me get really good deals!

I'm Joann my husband is retired army just got out 2 years ago I have a son 12 and a handicapped daughter that is 11. I shop at a super small commissary here in PA and miss all the bigger ones.

Hi I am Wynnie Hubby is Ret from 10th group was a sere instructor here at Bragg when did now works contracting I ahve son 32 who active duty gaurd,brother who is ret, and I am a army brat. I shop at Ft.Bragg lucky for us we have 2 comm. North Post and South Post, and they are big. Whats funny one thing will be one price at one commy,but 15 cents cheaper at the other . I go about 1 a mo. But would like to see this get going. Even without q's you can save alot of money shopping there.

We live in Goldsboro at Seymour Johnson AFB. Sometimes we will go down there to ft bragg. I walked in their commissary one time and my eyes grew really big because it is so much bigger than the one here.
