Default Cowboy Cookies

Cowboy Cookies

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened (I use Crisco butter 1/2 cup)
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup uncooked rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375 F. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until blended. Add egg and vanilla; beat until fluffy. combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda in small bowl; stir into creamed mixture with oats, chocolate chips, raisins, and nuts. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. Remove to wire racks to cool.

OMG I love these cookies! I've never had a recipe nor tried to make them.
I am going to give these a whirl. Thanks Apple! You rock so hard.

Apple, Every time I need a little lift, or am having a pity party, your posts (not the recipes but the motivational ones!teehee) make me realize that things aren't so bad. I always feel better after reading your motivational posts, and I want to thank you for that....... AND for the cookie recipe!
