I started couponing in October. It was overwhelming at first. But now I am getting the hang of it!

Definitely read about couponing and watch the resource videos. It's important to learn the terminology and learn how to use coupons correctly. One example is that some coupons will have a limit of how many of the same coupons you can use in a single transaction.

I recommend you start couponing at a single store. Get to know their coupon policy (every store is different it seems). As you get more confident in that one store, then you can start branching out. I shop at Walmart, Target, and CVS. Although I might start branching out to Walgreens now. Each store has it's own benefit. Walmart allows overage, so you can make money on purchases. I like Target because they have online Target coupons that you can print. Then on a single item, you can use both a Target coupon and a manufacturer coupons. And CVS is now my addiction. The sales, cash card deals, extra care bucks, and rewards program make it fun, and challenging at times, to figure out great deals.

HTH (hope that helps).

Fellow Wuckies (We Use Coupon users) are always happy to help!

I agree with what others have said.

Start with one store (grocery is what I would recommend), learn their policies, and then start reaping in the rewards. I would look for a store in my area that doubles coupons if possible because you get the most bang for your buck.

After you are on for awhile, read through a lot of posts, learn this site inside and out, and know which forums apply to you, then you can branch out to other stores.

If you ask me, the CVS, Walgreens, etc have very bizarre programs, which took me awhile to master. I started with one of them, and then the next. If you are like me you will end up doing most of your deals with only one of them and your main grocery store.

My next piece of advice which you will see in the videos and help section. Just because you have a coupon, doesn't mean that you have to use it.

Read read read, don't be afraid to ask questions, and enjoy.
