Expanding my crafting, just imagine
 Just wanted to share & maybe get some ideas and inspirational juices flowing. I joined WUC because of qponing. The needed to save and be frugal  kept me glued to the deals forum  Well I have learned that also means taking advantage of new skills and techniques to maneuver and provide more meaningful quality from more avalible things.  Yes, that means I cut corners and I am an elcheapo!  I don't have high $$$$$ furnishings. I just cant see paying so much to get soooo little. I do thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets, and if I see potential, I  will do trash. Some of my elcheapo ideas. Window treatments made from the cheap sheets at wally ($15.?? minus my sons employee discount  ) Duck taped boxes from the store (freebies)   This one was to cover a big blank wall in DH's ManCave. He's a lead guitarist and his inspiration was the Rolling Stones,"I Can't Get No Satisfaction," He found the single record at a thrift store & hung it on this huge wall.  My solution was cardboard, caulk, acrylic paints, & a comb. All the guys love it, I tell them its his bands first Big Record!   Next post will be my latest, greatest, cheapest endeavor yet But if there are any great ideas out there, please post. Very fun! This isn't really crafting, but if you are taking someone's junk and turning it into something, you should join your local freecycle.org group. People post things they no longer want and all you have to do is pick it up. You can even post things you are looking for. I have never made crafts from stuff I have gotten but some of my best finds were a heavy wood Entertainment Center + TV which is absolutely perfect for our basement family room. The storage space underneath holds all of the kids games and movies! I also have gotten toner ink -- never opened. That in itself was about a $35 value
But people post all kinds of things.
