Default Crochet stuff

I am going to finish up all the yarn I have in my stash and make something of it. I have enough to do one baby afghan for a boy. I also have one skein of purple and one skein of the white/purple mix - not sure what to do with these that will not require my purchasing more yarn. I will get these projects done in a month or two depending on how long my hands will cooperate with me. I have it here at work so that is the time that I will work on it so that it won't be at home getting the place all cluttered with an unfinished project. LOL.
I would also love to finish up my scrapbooking. I have all the stuff, just haven't completed the projects either. They are pictures of my dad with my son, my dad passed away over 6 years ago and I am still having a difficult time working on the pictures, but it really does need to get finished.
So, for me, it is 3 projects:
1. crochet 1 baby blanket for an unknown boy
2. crochet several baby hats - I guess that is what I will do. purple hats with the mix color tassel and borders
3. scrapbook my dad and son's pictures.

Default Craft Goals

Wow I just posted on the New Years Resolution thread that I would:

#1. Organize my craft supplies...still the number 1 goal, but I would really like to make mittens from recycled sweaters for next Christmas...I made three pair this year and they were a hit with those who received them so I am felting the wool sweaters I just bought from the thrift store as I write this. I am so excited to get started. Unfortunately you really have to felt the wool first...maybe I can start tomorrow.

Happy New Year

I learned how to really crochet recently. I had made my children baby blankets and made other gifts a long time ago - but basically they were all one big granny square because that was all I knew how to do - make ONE BIG SQUARE. LOL So, this year, I was actually able to make some neat gifts for a few people. My goal this year is to be able to make a lot more gifts. Between crochet and whatever else I can learn how to do.

Mine was to finally get around to start cleaning out all of our old T-shirts and make T-shirt yarn.
I've always wanted to make my own braided rug, but I would settle for a small crochet projet with it for now.
Here's a link for a beautiful crochet purse made from T-shirt yarn.

and a link for making the yarn.

You all have some great stuff to work on! My goals thus far are:
1. Continue crocheting (especially to finish up all my unfinished projects!)
2. Get caught up with my daughter's baby book and start one for my son.
3. Do more sewing/improve my sewing skills.
4. Get my treadle sewing machine up and running.
5. Finally get stuff listed in my Etsy store! I started one earlier this year and still haven't gotten around to doing anything with it. Until recently though I had two little ones under 2 years of age, and that is challenging!

Good luck to everyone and hopefully we all achieve our crafting goals.

Awesome goals everyone!!! You can do it, I know you can!!

For me, after we move in May, I want to start paper-crafting again. I've not done anything crafty in over a year! It's sad because I have SO much stuff!

I told my mom, when we get to our new town and home, I'm going to set me up a place...I don't know where since we won't know how big of the house we are going to rent will be....but I am going to find someplace to set up a table and start making cards and scrapbooking! Hoping to maybe get into jewelry-making too!

Good luck everyone!!

Happy Coupon'ing!!
Just me, Bunnie married to my Best friend & Soul-mate and momma to Brigit (aka Briggie or Princess Briggie), my fur-baby Bunnie!

My CRAFT goal for 2013 is right up there with my everyday goal: Stop accumulating and start USING! I had a dear friend who had THOUSANDS of cookbooks, but she rarely cooked! When this was pointed out, she said" I collect cookbooks, I never said that I use them!". I don't want to be a craft supply collector. I actually WANT to use them. In my defense of PAST actions: I live in a craft void. So to get supplies or whatever I need to plan ahead. But "someday" has come in 2013!
