I have never ordered anywhere before but was wondering if you can place an order at CVS, or if anyone has ever tried for that matter.I understand it could very well be a YMMV type of thing. I dont like clearing shelves and dont have the chance to go all the time and even with a rain check might be limited on actually getting all that i wanted w/o an order. So any insight on this would really help. Thanks so much

typically speaking no you cant. you cannot order and say have it set aside, it is actually against thier company policy. but some managers do make exceptions occassionally.

your best bet is to just communicate with your manager about items you believe will be "hot" due ot coupons etc. and give them a heads up at least a week and a half in advance of the sale or earlier if possible to let them know to order some extra.

I have asked store managers to order items for me and they've been very happy to do so. I let them know ahead of time what's going to be on sale for the week (they don't quite get the at the ad/coupon thing lol ) and what items I have coupons for that I'd like to order.

Of course, if the store only receives a small quantity items they order and they need those items to have on the shelf for the sale, they won't let me have them -- they'll just put in another order for me. I'll get RCs for the sale price/ECB and the store allows me to use any of the coupons I have that may expire before the items are received. My store's managers couldn't be more customer friendly.

Thanks. See i got 40 inserts yesterday. I live in a small area, semi big for wv but small compared to other areas and my store doesnt get stocked well on things. I recently was helped through a private organization for utility assistance and the number of people that came in for food and household/hba items was scary. I was thinking if i can get alot of extras on the freebies i could pass some on to the organization for the programs they do. I really am not the type to take a "handout" and not pay back and since real money is the issue for me even with couponing the best way i see it is to lessen their costs on these products they distribute and supply them w/ the items myself. So with that said like ivory soap... I highly doubt they will have 40~3 packs on the shelf. There are no ecbs involved and i hope if i explain maybe to the manager who i get along with if they could order a case and issue a raincheck he will agree. If not i will just get a raincheck and when i visit my mom this week check her store and if they dont have enough or alot get a raincheck and give her some coupons for it and have her do some dirty work. Sorry..I ramble

Since you aren't having to try to order items with an ECB deal you can ad match at Target or Walmart if your CVS doesn't have enough product or won't order for you.

ahhh you are lucky!! my CVSes have ALL said, and the district manager have all said if they order specifically for anyone and set anything aside the person who does it can be not only written up but fired as well. and this was told to me back before i was at war with the one store! LOL
