Wait... so they charge you .10 for each one of the standard plastic CVS shopping bags?

I reuse mine at work... I always bring a banana or two, sometimes an apple. I always put the peels/core in my bag to take home for the compost pile/chickens. I've trained several of my co-workers to save me theirs, too. I love paper bags, but I don't seem to get them too often. They are great for composting because the whole bag composts. I LOVE composting and sometimes I even plan out a very small Dollar General Trip for Saturday, even if I don't need anything, because that's when they put their truck away and I can usually fill my car with empty boxes. I use them in the compost piles, in the garden between the rows (kills the weeds, and by the next year, they've already decomposed, plus the worms love them), even shredded it works as chicken bedding. When I had the ducklings in the bathroom for a bit after they hatched, the easiest bedding for them was a piece of cardboard with a bit of pine shavings on top. Every day just take the cardboard with shavings out, and add a new one. Old one goes in compost pile.

Today's trip was eh... I only went quick because I wanted to get the .77 tuna foil packets. My store's truck day changed, and if I bought them out today, I think they'll get more in Friday. They had the lemon pepper and the plain, 20 packs between the two, and I got them all. (In case you can't tell... I LOVE tuna).

Scored on the M&Ms. The bags are $4.19, BOGO. I found 2 bags that had $1 coupons on them. So $1.10 a bag.

I saw someone else had problems with the .75 hershey coupon and the $2.50 Colgate coupon, so I bought them separately. The candy bar by itself, and it worked fine. Bought the tuna and the colgate and the M&Ms together, and the colgate only took off .91. Used no other CVS coupons other than ECB. This was my older, kinda grumpy cashier. This happened last week with a $4 CVS coupon, and the cashier took the items off and I bought them separately and it worked fine. Should have done that this time. If she had took the toothpaste off and rang it up by itself, it should have worked I think. But I think she got frustrated and just cashed out the transaction to void it later, and re-rang it, only now my ECB were no good (she entered them manually). Rang up the toothpaste by itself, but of course the $2.50 coupon said already used, and the .50 digital coupon was already used so it didn't come off again. She manually entered the $2.50 off, and I paid .50. At that point, I wasn't going to fuss with it... sometimes you have to cut your losses.

I do hope someone starts a class action about these coupons. This is getting ridiculous. And it's not the store's fault, or any cashier's fault. It's whoever programmed the system.

Yes - IF we get a CeeVee bag, we can be charged .10 per. Same at the grocery stores and restaurants here. It's a city law - .10 per bag. A lot of stores in the Bay Area have some form of a Bag Fee now. It's been like this for about 3 or 4 years now. I bring my own bags.

I want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU for y'all that have been talking about the B2G1 RGuard Deo crt. I decided to try it out earlier, and somehow also ended up with (3) bags of chips and a PFarms Chessman $1 - had to pay $2.24 (pretty much tax) but expecting $4 from savingstar. I it when a company sponsors the snack.addiction.

If you got a $1.50 cereal crt this week - it could mean (4) lil' cups for cheap.

(4) Lucky Charms, Cheerios or Cinn Toast Crunch $1 per = $4

Used:
$1.50 Lucky Charms, Cheerios or Cinnamon Toast Crunch crt
$1/2 Big G Cereal EQ x 8.14
$1/2 Big G Cereal EQ x 9.14
Pay: .50 for 4, .12 per

If you only have one EQ, only get (3) cups.
My Educators only want the lil' cups cuz they use them as crayons / markers holders. SOMEONE has to eat the cereal.

Thanks. Transaction was a mess didn't take 12.09 off even though I had items to cover. Just took off 6.45 off. Cashier saw another 1$ off right guard and thought that crt didn't take off anything so manually subtracted 3.99 off as mf coupon. It also kicked out my crt of deodrant at the end probably as total got too low.

If I have 2 different offer for savingstar on same product does it end up giving both of them.

Do they no longer re issue beauty club ecb? Mine expired 7/31 and forgot to use...

If the cashier hits total and the digital coupons come off before you give paper coupons, then the paper will beep. You can ask the cashier not to hit total until after your paper coupons if you would prefer to use those and then the digital coupons will not come off on those items.

If you received the $3/2 Nivea lip CVS coupon this week, they are BOGO, so you'll get 2 for FREE!

They must have fixed the Right Guard coupon, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you as you'd hoped :-(

Yes, you'll receive credit for both offers on SavingStar!

We have a 2 day grace period for expired CVS coupons (of course it's still up to the manager, but the register will accept it) I've heard reports of customer service not re-issuing expired CVS coupons anymore, I'm sorry.

You guys are lucky. The stores around here are completely strict about expiration dates for everything (except the products they sell, of course).

I'm glad to hear about the RightGuard S* deal. Too bad I never got one of the BuyTwoGetOneFree Redbox Qs.

And a class action on the computer adjusting down coupon offers sounds about right. It's a deceptive business practice and somebody should force them to discontinue this. It's fraudulent to tell someone they'll get a $2 discount if they buy something and then only give them one for $1.21, hoping they won't notice until they get home and then won't do anything about it.

chickenfarmer, most of the counties around here have passed laws prohibiting distributing single use plastic bags. Now you get charged for shopping bags: paper , plastic, doesn't matter. The ridiculous thing is the plastic shopping bags. They are just heavier plastic and you could conceivably reuse them, as I routinely did with the thinner ones. Where do you expect the heavier ones will end up? Doy. Some grocery stores have "recycle your bags here" bins. I usually check them and retrieve clean bags anyway as I use them instead of trash bags at home.
