Both are CVS coupons. Hoping I can use the Reese's one with the sale starting tomorro 3/$9, $3/3 CVS Redbox Q, $2/3 Man Q. Makes it $1/bag....bring it on Halloween!
Check the small print on the Reese's and Kit Kat coupon, there is most likely another date with the real expiration.

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately the perimeter date and the fine print date all agree with the bar across the top....9/9

Darn, that's sad. Hopefully it will at least work two days expired since it is a CVS coupon.

Default CRT getting kicked out

Thanks SD for figuring out how to avoid CRT's getting kicked out or adjusting down. Here is what CVS did to make Couponer’s life as difficult as possible.

Here is my transaction today.

Physician formula $9.99 - $3 CRT
Maybelline eye $3.99 - $2 MQ
GM Cereal x2 $3.98 - $1 EQ
Nature valley granola $2.99 - $1 IP
Noodle + Pasta .67+.39 = $1.06
Subtotal = $22.01 - $15eb - $3crt - $4mq = 1¢ + tax
Received $7EB, $1S*, $1S*, 1 toward Maybelline

Originally had $1 item which made my subtotal -5¢, so PF CRT was kicked out instead of adjusting down. I asked the cashier to add 5¢ non-taxable. He asked the manager she said NO we are not allowed to. You guys are lucky if your store does it. She was adamant to add 33¢ caramel I refused.

Here is the math how to get your CRT’s full value.
In my transaction Sub-total is $22, ECB used $15
15/22 = .68
1-.68 = .32
Thus my $3 PF CRT = 9.99*.32 = $3.20 (higher than $3)

If this number was below .30 my CRT would adjust down to that % and not get full $3.
If you have more than one CRT, each of the CRT has to meet their own % rule.
They made it harder to use CRT and ECB combination. It becomes lot more difficult when I go to store with my math and if is OOS and I have to re-calculate.

I could see how they could get in trouble for the non-taxable. For something like 5¢ it might raise red flags to the district manager (what were you guys marking down to 5¢, and why weren't you scanning it?)

One store marked down the Huggies swimmer diapers 75% off because they don't carry them year round, only for the summer, and the manager got yelled at by the district manager for it.

And I'm sure it might pose some problems down the road with inventory... "well, we sold 200 unknown things last year. Well what were they? I have no idea.... "

Not to mention you could get a manager thinking the cashier is trying to pull one over on them and selling you things for pennies. I seen it in the news a while ago about a cashier at Walmart doing that... a friend would come through with a ton of stuff, and the cashier would ring up a small percentage of that.

Knowing the managers and cashiers around here, there's NO way they will add a "taxable" item so my CVS coupon will go through. I'm not even going to ask.

That was one reason why I stopped shopping at WAGS, I had to keep finding small "fillers" so I could use RR's. It adds up over time.

Wow. I guess I shouldn't of even mentioned it. I just figured a non-taxable item would raise less red flags than a price modify or manual entry of a coupon.

Sorry if anyone got in trouble for it. Everything is YMMV, and my store would much rather enter a non-taxable for a few pennies than enter a coupon for a few dollars (especially since the manual CVS coupon button is gone).

I'm sure CVS will make a killing off of those caramels!

Oh no, please don't apologize! I'm glad to hear it works for some of you! They are just more strict in my area. It definitely is YMMV.
