If you got the free CVS Brand Torq3 Razor last year (and they've had them for cheap a few times since, I think) and want more refill blades... remember that the Rite Aid and Dollar General versions are all identical. The 2 packs of refills are on sale this week at DG for $1 (normally $5.50). SupremeFIT is DG's brand.

I got one today, and it is identical in every way to the CVS 5 pack, only there are 2 in the pack (with room for 5), and it doesn't have the Torq3 logo. The blades themselves are identical.

These also fit the Mach 3 Gillette Razor, which have also been on sale for nearly free recently.

Default CVS Email Customer Service asking for Security Q Answers

Has anyone dealt with CVS customer service via email recently?

It's been years since I've contacted them but a few weeks ago I tried to place a Curbside Pickup order and use the promo code to get $10 off $15 purchase for a first time order...the promo code wouldn't apply saying that it was only valid for new curbside customers (this was my first curbside order).

I used the Contact Us form on the CVS website to complain and received a response back saying that they would need to review my account information and to do so, they needed me to reply to this email with the answer to one of my security questions.

Has anyone else been asked to provide an answer to a security question via email? I've never had to do that before, but like I said, it's been years. I didn't feel comfortable providing that information in a "permanent" written response so just dropped the issue.

Was curious if this is the new norm or out of the ordinary....

I haven't, but I have had Curbside deny me a promotion on the basis that I'd already had one, (this was at Target) so I returned the order to the store and got a refund. It was my second promo, but they'd solicited further business from my by offering more via email (maybe their computer neglected to omit me from the mailing).

I am not sure about the interface between Curbside and CVS, but there may be concerns because the link to credit card information would require them to be sure you are who you say you are before releasing/discussing sensitive information. Complaining if you have not had a Curbside promo deal before is reasonable, but if you have claimed one in the past, then that's just them saying one promo per customer.

Since this was your first Curbside experience, I'd complain directly to Curbside. The reason for that is that I had such a crap experience on my first order with them that they gave me a gift card to Target. I sat for quite some time at the curb and finally had to go into the store. I think it's a great idea but I've never ever seen it work well in practice.

Ladibug, thanks for this update. I was curious and so I went to the corporate site of Walgreens Boots Alliance and found this amazing history page. This is a corporation that is comprised of lots of regional pharmacy chains across the globe. It's sort of overwhelming that drug distribution is gradually being concentrated in the hands of a few multinational companies.

Thanks Zippy...I didn't really realize Curbside was it's own company - I tried to make my order on the CVS Express website signing in with my CVS account/Extra care number. Hadn't even gotten to the step of entering my credit card when the promo code was denied so I assume it was based on my email or extracare number. Regardless, I've never placed a curbside order through CVS, Target or any other store, so it should have worked. If I decide to try again, I will contact Curbside directly.
