Crazy isn't it? I just noticed that today. Have the coupons been like that do you know?

I did not notice this wording until I was using the method dish soap q's at Publix and it was pointed out. I asked if I could go out to my car and come back in and was told no cause we already knew you were here and that does not consider you as another guest. I went to the Publix closer to my house and they had no problem letting me use them all at once. I guess its just another way to get you to come back to the store. I hope I can use all my up & up paper towels q's at one time if the shelves are stocked.

The Target coupons have been like this for awhile. Every once in awhile you'll see one per purchase, but that's rare, especially for the printable coupons.
My sister used to be a manager at Target, and I asked her about this once. She said that since they are store coupons, Target doesn't get reimbursed for them like a MQ. As a result, they want more control over the number that are used, especially on a single item and in a single store, in order to have a little more control over their bottom line. For example, if you think about the coupon that made the macaroni and cheese free. If someone comes in with 100 coupons and wipes out their mac and cheese, now they have no more and have to order some (so they may have other angry customers) AND they haven't made any money off of your purchase. She said that she knows people get more than one, but the restriction is in place in hopes that if you try to use more than one it will at least happen slowly or at several different Targets so that one store doesn't get completely wiped out of a product. I hope that helps. I had been really frustrated with it at first too, but her explanation made a lot of sense. In the end, business is business. |

I've only been able to use one like Target coupon each time going through check out around here.
Since Target is not reimbursed I can understand this policy and am happy to get a free mac and cheese, paper towel roll, yogurt, etc. each time I am at the store. Of course it's nice when dd or dh is with me and we get 2. |

My target was very nice last night - I have 20 paper towels one to use and they came up with this crazy number of 8 at a time. But I was okay with that. I showed them on the coupon where it says one per guest and the customer service girl said it meant one per person per item - so she said get 8 at a time. Okay I am not going to argue with her.

They have said that for a long time. While most stores don't really pay attention to it, especially if you are only using 2 (the per computer print limit). But, since that wording is on the coupons, you really have no argument if they decide they want to enforce it...
