I currently have a 20 cubic up right freezer which I had upgraded too this past spring and I have a 15 cubic deep freezer.. Well I was planning on buying another 20 cubic up right next spring to up grade again, but as these times are changing and prices are going to head up and up. I was in the applience store friday and seen a 21 cubic deep freezer, which looked great it's much longer and not so deep. After much thinking I'm going to go buy the new deep freezer tomorrow and buy 1/2 hog to go along with our 1/4 cow to keep our shelves well stocked for about 2 years.. With the freezer wrap from the lockers a person can hold on to meats 2 years.. The 15 cubic holds about 475 pounds of meat and the 21 hold about 750 pounds. That will give us enough meat to last for awhile..

Well my freezer arrived today and hubby mentioned keeping the third one instead of selling it. So after ordering a 1/2 hog and 1/4 cow and 15 chickens I will need the third freezer because it looks like I will need it. We will have enough meat to last a long time.
When the freezer was delivered the guys did say they have had a increase in sales of freezers because of the increase in prices. |

Sounds like you have a great plan.
My freezers are so in need of re-organizing, hopefully I will get a chance to start on that today. ![]() |
