If you have any Qs to spare, make a quick trip to DG and see if the BOGO Pantene coupon scans and auto-deducts. Then you'll know if your scenario will work.

On a regular day without the $5/25, it will deduct $3.50. With the $5/25, the cost of the Pantene adjusts down, and DG system won't allow the cashier to take off $3.50.

Yes that's what happened when I used the b1g1 head and shoulders last week. The size I bought was $5 and it took off $4.32 and the $5/$25 took off the rest

They really ought to update their system to have the $5 apply to the bottom line and not a little to each item. I have overspent and gotten frustrated many times because of this to the point that i only do these deals on items i Really need to get because im out of and not to stock up.

If anyone has a Food Lion, the pantene deal works better there. I was planning pantene at DG, but Food Lion has $5/$15 instant savings on certain P&G brands, including pantene. The price at Food Lion is also 3.50 nad the $5 instant savings comes off before coupons.

So.... it will not work out as a bogo?

I am still VERY new at shopping DG, does anyone know if they sell Surf laundry soap, and if so anybody have a price on this???
