So I went to dt to get some of the airwick spray with my 2/2 q's and they refused, then i had 2 50/1 soft pretzel q's i wanted to use and cashier told me no, that her manager said we can not take them because its not what is PICTURED n q that a PICTURE is of a box and they sell the bags... I asked, but it says ANY and she said they bag is not pictured.... SO FRICKEN MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And a lady behind me was commenting on my using coupons... I was seriously irritated.... DT is so messed up with their OWn policies.....


**** and i only had THOSE 3 coupons too but I was buying other stuff *******

I'm sorry you had a terrible experience. Did you actually speak to the manager? If you did and they still wouldn't honor the Q you may want to contact DT CS.

They did the same thing to me! Told me my item didn't match the picture shown even tho it stated any.

I had the same issue about a week ago called corp and they said theorem had to match the picture now, so I don't think many people will be couplings there much anymore

That's really absurd! That's what they told you? I've not had any problems at my store yet. I'll take a look at their Facebook page... If that's truly what corporate is instructing there won't be much couponing at their stores ever...

Well, from what I'm seeing on Facebook, there's no reason any DT should be refusing a coupon based on the picture on the coupon.

Since you're having an issue at both the store and the customer service level, I would recommend doing this:

1. Email the store number, location and the issue to customerservice@dollartree dot com and customerinquiries@dollartree dot com
2. Leave the same information on their Facebook page or direct message them. The page address is listed in the Dollar Tree Information Spot sticky.

Which number did you call, btw? Was it the 1-800-876-8077? Or, was it the other ordering line? Just curious. Thanks!

I'm hoping next time you'll have a better shopping experience with your Qs at DT.

Update:

Received an email reply that said they agree - the description is what's in the words. If the product(s) comply with the worded description but isn't what's exactly pictured you MAY use that coupon. (Duh! )

PLEASE, if you're having the problem explained in the OP, email the store name number and location to customerservice@dollartree dot com so they can address the situation. Don't let ignorance keep you from getting your deals!

I was in DT about a month ago right when they opened the store in the morning. I overheard the manager having a meeting with the cashiers. It was all about coupons. Her tone was like the tone that would be used to warn the employees of shoplifters. Things like, "don't let them use more than 2 printable Q's and if they don't like it too bad." And, if they don't present the Q's before you start ringing them up, they can't use them. And "if it's a Q for more than $1 off, don't accept it." If you don't want to take coupons then don't take them, but don't make us out to be criminals! Really tired of that mentality!
