I know this isn't clothing but I went to a thrift store in my area and bought a rubber raft for $8.00. I filled it with air and no leaks, using it for a couple of years now to catch fish for the freezer. I had looked at others and they are well over 400.00. Good score for me all I had to find was a set of oars.

I love shopping thrift stores. At my local Goodwill, I always find brand new stuff with the original price tag still on the items. I found a $50 GAP sweater with tag still on it and only paid $1.50 for it. My recent find was a designer dress suit for myself for $5 and a brand new blue Jean jacket. You would be amazed at the things people donate. I donate to my local store about 3 times a year.

I normally never buy clothing items at good will unless it's a shirt. (I'm a germ phob) anyhoo, I go to mine about every other week. I love finding books that are aged. I use them for crafts.I also love that they have cheap baskets. I'm really into the shabby chic looks and I repurpose a lot of items and thrift stores are like a gold mine.

Wow! That was a great find! I recently found Citizen for Humanity jeans (normally $120) for $4.95! My kids are still small and I find a ton of Gymboree clothes and the one I go to. I just pick one in a nice neighborhood!

I found a broken waterman writing pen from 1920 for 10 cents at a goodwill. I had it refurbished for 30.00 and sold it for 650.00 to a collector. I do not think the quality has gone down, I think you have to know what to look for! That was NOT an unusual find for us either!
