DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER!!!

Sorry to be the bearer of BAD news, but... the wonderful coupon $5 off of $5 IS GOING TO EXPIRE 1/1/2013.

I work for Food Lion and my Customer Service manager just showed me an email from corporate saying that the coupon was a misprint. They are extending the date by 3 days for those who may not have checked their emails.

I know it says 12/29/2013 on the coupons. According to the email, the coupon will not scan through after 1/1/13.

I asked and they sent me an email that says it is good until 12/29/2013........
I hate when the stores confuse themselves!

Also, I hate when one person doesn't talk to another person and gives out different information.

Ok, Food lion has now reset the coupon with an expiration date of 1/01/2013 but they (my food lion) said that corporate is honoring the ones that were previously printed with the 12/29/2013 date until 12/29/2013!
He said that they have to or it's bait and switch!

I hope they do honor it. But, according to the email I just read from corporate, they will not. We will just have to wait and see.

Thank you Sallman. I have printed one for me and one for my husband (we are both customers). I will plan to have us use both before the 1st.

I too get really frustrated when stores can't get their stories straight, however, this was a very generous coupon and if we want Food Lion to keep giving us great coupons and offers, we should respect the fact that they made a mistake and try to comply with their request.

I got a message on facebook yesterday that they would accept the cpn thru the expiration date. Today I got message that there was a miscommunication and all coupons expire on 1/1/13.

Yeah, now my store is saying 1/1/2013/ Whether it was misused or not.....food lion won't do this again......................
