Hi.
Quick question about the new Clip Q(s) and $.30/300 Gas Fuel Q WYB $50 that Giant/Stop & Shop is offering now in their ads. I have read other sites and here and understand the Clip Q(s) and Instant Savings and how to scan your store cards, etc. I have some questions about the scan order of the Gas Rewards Store Coupons. I think that I have the order correct for scanning and using my Giant card. Would someone look over my scenario for scanning and tell me if it is correct for the Gas Rewards Store Coupon usage? Thanks. 1. Scan PSP (Pre-Sale Price/Regular Price) items first. 2. Scan Clip Q(s) which are the new tear-off coupons next. 3. Scan Giant/S&S card for Instant Savings. 4. Scan MQ(s) next for doubling, etc. 5. Scan Giant/S&S Gas Rewards Store Coupon if PSP is $50 and up for $.30/300 gas points. 6. Scan CQ(s) for Giant ONLY not S&S since S&S doesn't accept CQ(s). Is this correct? Or should I scan the Gas Rewards Store Coupon if PSP over $50 before MQ(s)? Does it matter if the Instant Savings comes off before the Gas Rewards Store Coupon or not? Should it be steps 1-3 and then Gas Rewards Store Coupon if over $50 PSP? Or should it be steps 1-2, Gas Rewards Store Coupon if over $50 PSP? Then scan Giant/S&S card for Instant Savings, then MQ(s), and CQ(s) for Giant not S&S? Since the Gas Rewards Store Coupon is a Clip Q, I wonder if I should include the coupon like the other Clip Q(s) if my PSP is $50 after all discounts EXCEPT for MQ(s)/CQ(s). It was easier with the "old" gas points system. ![]() Thanks. Foodie (Katie) ![]() |

It doesn't matter how you do it, the 300 points q is always AFTER all discounts or your subtotal before tax.

I agree with Crazymom... it doesn't matter what order you scan. The registers are programmed. You can scan the gas q once you hit $50, but if any q's take you below the minimum then the gas credit will come back off.

Thanks.
So if my subtotal is $50 after discounts and I give the cashier my Gas Rewards coupon, scan my card, and then my CQ, then I should be okay since the subtotal would be after $50 when I do the gas deals? Sorry for the questions. So I probably should do the CQ as part of my total discounts with the $50 and then the Gas Rewards coupon and scan my card? Foodie (Katie) ![]() |

No. If, at the end of the transaction, your total is under $50, you don't get the points.
The gas points are calculated and added at the very end, no matter when the coupon is entered. So, it doesn't matter at all what order you do things, in terms of the gas points. To be clear - your OOP cost must be $50 or greater to get the gas points. |
