Saturday, went to HEB just for chicken breasts. All of Tyson's, boneless chicken breasts, but one, were expired. Scarey because I used to never look at the date on meat. I just assumed it was good.

I'm glad you found at least one that wasn't expired, and yeah..it's a bit scary. Definitely a good idea to check those dates. Thanks for sharing with us!

Were the Tyson chicken breasts the frozen or refrigerated ones? Along those lines, I had a family member in the house when I brought my last little loot and I told her about FOF. She couldn't believe a store would leave expired product out to sell. I think it scared her straight into checking everything she buys from now on.

it was refrigerated. First time to have seen expired chicken. Makes me wonder how many times I bought it, trusting it was good.

Tonight, I needed to pick up some half and half. As I was waiting to check out, I glanced over the small bags of chips. Right in front were two bags, two flavors-reg.doritos and jalapeno, with November dates. I don't eat chips, but my husband does! Didn't realize they had gone up so much. The little bags are priced at 1.49...

Sausage! It was the sausage on the meal deal, it was the last one they had left, so I took the one that was FREE (in date), plus got a 2nd one FREE!

Tip for HEB anything you find Expired they have to give you something in date if you take the expired one up front. You get the in date one for FREE!!!!!! I know this from personal experience. however if you find 7 of one item they only give you the first one free just one not more than that.

Sometimes when we run upon an item that has no like item to replace with, we pick them all up and give them to HEB when we check out. They seem to really appreciate it. Otherwise, it will just sit there.
