I'm new to shopping at Menards. I've already started by getting some of the FAR items, just haven't submitted the rebates yet. Is there a limit on how many different rebates I can mail together? I think I picked up about 12 different rebate items (different items, not just 12 total).

Any other tips or advice for me when shopping at Menards? Are the ads always weekly? Do they do unadvertised deals?

I only shop there on BF but my dad goes there almost every day Look at the rebate items because it will tell you how many you can have per household. And the rebate checks are not $ checks, they can only be used @ Menards like store credit.

but its store credit that will never expire.

also, you can put as many rebates as you want in at the same time, in the same envelope as long as the rebates themselves havent expired. BUT... they will send you ONE check for each envelope you send in. So if you send 10 rebates in one envelope but they total up to be $150, then you get one check for $150 that you can only use at Menards and can only use if you have MORE than $150 in merchandise.

They do have a nice clearance section. I have had a few problems with using coupons though. They don't seem to like them. The manager told me he has a hard time getting reim. for them from the mfg.

I look at their ads every week and try to pick up as much of the free stuff as I can. I just keep rolling my rebates and when I get extra (MM) I puchase gift gards. I LOVE Menards. One of the greatest hidden shopping places. Enjoy. Lynne D.

Are you saying you have to use the whole check at once? In my experiences there if you don't use it all at once, it retains the remainder like a giftcard.
I have one right now that was sent to me for $87.xx and used only about $24 on my last trip, so they just gave it back and wrote down how much I had left.

We've always had to use the whole thing. they scan the little check thingie and take it, we have to sign it like a regular check. We have to spend the whole check or buy a gift card with the rest.

Glad you can use part of one, that'd be sooo nice so i can stop sending in 3 or more envies each time.

Thanks for all of the advice! I've followed the limits so far, just need to get it all filled out & mailed in. I'll probably work on that tonight. I've only been twice so far. I'll probably only make it in once every 2 or 3 weeks, but I should still be able to score a lot of deals.

Good to know on them being wary on taking manufacturer coupons. I haven't tried to use any yet.

Also good to know that it's a YMMV situation on using part of, or all of, the rebate check. I'll have to check with the store here to find out how to approach it.

I love shopping Menards especially for the rebates. You do not have to spend the whole check at once. They deduct the totals from the balance of your check. They make you sign the back once you surrender the check to them. I also don't know if this is just my area or not, but I also notice that I don't pay tax when I use the rebate check to pay for my purchases either.

I love the fact that I can roll their rebates into each other. I also love the fact that I can use manufacturer coupons there as well.

And........they price match...Woot!!
