I've put country ham pieces as well as onion in mine before. they were awesome!

I did Foggy....did them exactly like you recommended. They had just a smidge too much "juice" for my liking but I will just pour some of that off before I heat them up. I only did 7 quarts......I didn't have any ham and was too cheap to pay full price for it as I knew with this weeks sales it would be cheaper. I'm gonna do 7 more quarts this weekend after the Easter ham is served

me tooooooooo i have been checking craigslist, yardsales and thrift shops for a good deal, just don't want to pay retail.

I got mine on Amazon. It is the Presto somethin' somethin'......that really helps doesn't it? It is the larger capacity cooker that can hold 7 quarts or 14 pints at once. I bought it for the "double decker" capacity on the pints. I love it. To me it is very much worth the $83 I paid for it.

I think I saw that one on Amazon, but the $83 is not in my budget right now.
