I did Foggy....did them exactly like you recommended. They had just a smidge too much "juice" for my liking but I will just pour some of that off before I heat them up. I only did 7 quarts......I didn't have any ham and was too cheap to pay full price for it as I knew with this weeks sales it would be cheaper. I'm gonna do 7 more quarts this weekend after the Easter ham is served

I got mine on Amazon. It is the Presto somethin' somethin'......that really helps doesn't it? It is the larger capacity cooker that can hold 7 quarts or 14 pints at once. I bought it for the "double decker" capacity on the pints. I love it. To me it is very much worth the $83 I paid for it.

I think I saw that one on Amazon, but the $83 is not in my budget right now.
I do see a glimmer of hope for one b4 next summer. Learn to appreciate what you have before time makes you appreciate what you had.

ok, I'm gonna have to do this tomorrow. (I like how I'm making my to do list longer!) BUT--they are sitting in a pot soaking now--so they HAVE to be made now, right?! Plus, I need to use up the extra bits and pieces of ham from sunday. yum!!! Thanks again, Foggy!!!!
