Shopping List Shopping List For Homeschool

This is my first full year of homeschooling. I pulled DS out mid year last year, so this will be my first time shopping the back to school sales. Can you share what it on your list with me. I want to stock up, so I am not paying full price in a couple months.

I already have everything DS needs for the upcoming year in my stockpile BUT....I will snatch up any SUPER cheap (example...the penny items at staples) or FREE items and place them in my stockpile.
Once the ads start coming out (Dollar General has one with school supplies starting 7/7 there will be a thread going that lists all the deals people are getting.

I recommend watching WUC regularly in the next few weeks thru August/September for all the hottest deals. Everyone shares their finds and it is easy to pick up what you need.

**I am sure someone that homeschools will weigh in with more detailed information on what they use a lot of, that will probably help you a lot so you know what you need before the sales start**

CONGRATS on homeschooling....it is a big job but will be worth it!!!

I'm ready for that list and the deals. I love donating but I am only going for the things I need and I'm going to try to get 3-4 years worth. I see all of these P&G changes as well as lots of other companies and I wanna be stocked for the rest of the time I'm in school lol.

Thank you! It is well worth it. I wish I would have pulled him sooner. He is much happier.

I agree Red. Things are changing so quickly and the good deals are getting harder to find on things in general. I hate to see what the coming years bring.

I have been homeschooling for 13 years and I have found that my school stockpiles depends on my grades I'm teaching. Of course any grade will need paper, pencils, color pencils(even my middle and high schooler has to do color charts) I like to have craft supplies so we can include art as a subject. Hope this helps some, I gots lots of ideas for schooling if you want to pm me smile!

Looking for deals!

In general it seems that with curriculum they tend to go on sale in the spring. A lot of companies will have free shipping if you visit their booth at a homeschool convention-even if you don't listen to the speakers you can often get a reduced price pass to get into the curriculum fair. It is a great idea because you get to look at the books and see if they are really what you want. I buy most of mine from Christian Book Distributers or CBD.com
When it comes to regular school supplies I give each of my children a box with all they will need. Then I keep a box for myself of extras of everything. That way they don't think they can open box after box of crayons or pencils but I never have to buy anything at full price.
