This was recommended to me when my son was about 8 -- he has Asperger Syndrome and receptive/expressive language disorder (not severe, but enough to impact his early communication -- he is 14 now and very articulate). I researched it and asked my school district's reading coordinator what she thought, and she gave me research info that showed it wasn't what it was presented as -- and results weren't what was promised. In other words, don't bother. You can try to find experts in reading in your area and see what they have to say -- I realize this was years ago, and things may have changed.
