Q: What is Homeland?
Homeland is a small grocery store chain located in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. The regular prices are usually pretty high, but they have good sales and you can get a lot of free and cheap items if you can match up the sales with current coupons. My goal is to have a matchup posted every week (by myself or one or more members) so we can all share in the great deals. Q: How can I tell what is on sale? You can view the weekly ad at the homeland website: Welcome to Your New Homeland. The sales run from Wednesday to Tuesday. The ad usually comes in the Valais mailer on Wednesday (or sometimes Thursday) or you can have it mailed to you by signing up on their website (link above). Sometimes they mail the flyer early and other times you won't see it until Saturday. The next week's ad will usually be online at their website on Tuesday afternoon. They sometimes also have a monthly flyer so look for that at your store. Is there a membership card? You need a Homeland One Card (Free) to get the sale prices. You also need to be sure to have your card scanned to get coupons doubled. Does Homeland Double Coupons? Yes, Homeland doubles coupons up to (and including $1.00) excluding soda, free and tobacco coupons (though YMMV and you'll find some of those will actually double.) Homeland will only double one like coupon per transaction (i.e. if I have 2 $1/1 Ronzoni, the first will double and the second will ring at face value). All coupons that start with a "5" will automatically double if scanned by the cashier. However, some cashiers will hit the DND button on their computer if a coupon says "do not double or triple". Coupons that start with a "9" do not double. Can you do multiple transactions? Yes, more stores will allow you to do more than one transaction to take advantage of the double coupons. However, please be courteous to other shoppers and have your orders separated and coupons ready BEFORE you get to the checkout lane. Does Homeland take Internet Printables (IPs): YMMV, but most Homelands do take IPs. They may stop periodically if they have recevied a run of fraudulent coupons. Does Homeland give an overage?: Homeland's policy is not to give overage and their computers are set not to give overage. For example, I have $1/1 Ronzoni Smart Taste coupons. They are $1.69 so when I buy one I'll get $1 face value and $.69 for the "doubled" portion. Last edited by iLUVcoupons; 06-13-2009 at 04:47 PM. |
