I was at my local CVS tonight and I noticed that some of the shampoo/conditioner sections and make-up sections were wiped clean. Then I saw bins filled with those products. At first I thought they were the clearance items so I grabbed a few and scanned but, they were all full price. As I was putting them back in the bins I saw a stack of papers and on top it said something about "new dispaly" and the complete by date was 2/11 (I believe). I don't know what they do with the clearance items if they are still there when they need that spot but, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up to grab them while you can!

I have a question for those of you a little more seasoned at CVS shopping than I am - do clearance items ever just randomly return back to full price? I tried to get some more of the clearanced L'Oreal hair products today and they were all $6.99 (were just $1.74). I thought maybe I was checking out the wrong ones but when I checked what I have at home they are the same ones. If this does happen does it vary by store like when they go in clearance or is it updated in all the registers immediately? I just ordered some more of the $2/1 coupons today some hope i can still get them for free.

You know I was just wondering the same thing today. For the past few weeks, I've been watching and price checking the clearanced Tresemme Dry Shampoo. When I went in today, the exact same three canisters that have been on clearance all this time (one has a small dent and they're dusty), were now ringing up at reg price. ??? I couldn't believe it. I thought it was just my store.

I really hope it's just on a store by store basis. I REALLY wanted more of those L'Oreal products. I did get one of the $1.99 Lubriderm lotions, one of the clearance Aveeno lotions, and two of the clearance Gold Bond lotions so maybe it's just the hair products and it has something to do with the new displays from my first post. I'm going to check out a few more CVS stores today so we shall see.

My store manager said it is called price reset, and is done when the products are being sent back to the manufacturer to get a better credit. The store manager has to do it manually. There is still some stores ringing up clearance.

I went to 5 CVS stores today and the L'Oreal hair products were all back to regular price It's funny because when I scanned them they said clearance but the price was the regular full price
