It did not beep. I read the same. I wasn't sure if they meant BOGO sales or BOGO coupons, but both went through just fine for me!

They double coupons up to .99 so if you have a BOGO coupon for an item that is .99 or below you get both free!

The way the sale works is the BOGO discount comes off of the transaction after all your coupons have been entered so it does not interfere with the discounts. At some stores the BOGO comes off of 50% off each item and some one rings up full price and one rings up as $0. At Kmart they both ring up full price and then the BOGO amount is subtracted from your total.

I have a dumb question. Stores in my area don't double (but Kmart is this time!), so I'm clueless on how this works. I have the Pepsi Max coupons and in big, bold print they say 'do not double' and 'redeemable for face value only'. Is this just ignored for doubling events?

The barcode of that coupon starts with a 5 so it automatically doubles. The store is eating the cost of the double not the manufacturer, but you are right. If the barcode had started with a 9 it (most likely) would not double.
