While I haven't received my answer after 5 emails back and forth between customer service, they did send information about the next coupon event. Here's the email:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting Sears Holdings Corporation.

The Double Coupon Event is from 4-19-4/25. We accept manufacturer's coupons, and Internet coupons. (which is new). We have taken the opportunity to enclose all the information regarding our Double and Triple Coupon Event Guidelines, as well as the Internet Coupons.

Double Coupons up to $2 maximum value, Limit 25 per person per day.

Triple Coupons up to $0.75 Value and Double Coupons $0.76 to $4 Value – Triple or Doubled up to current retail price of a single item

Kmart's Print-at-Home Internet Coupon Acceptance Policy

Effective March 1, 2009, Kmart will accept industry-standard, secure print-at-home coupons. This will provide additional benefits and incentives to our customers to help them save their money at Kmart.

Due to the continuing shift in utilizing online facilities, allowing the redemption of print at home coupons is becoming a larger more important aspect to the budget wise customer. But there is a significant risk in fraudulent alerted coupons. It is critical that the following guidelines be understood and followed to identify coupons that will not be accepted by the Kmart register operators.

Kmart can only accept print-at-home coupons if they scan properly at checkout. Legitimate printable coupons are delivered using special software designed to print a properly rendered barcode on the coupon and limit the number of coupons printed. If the coupon dos not scan properly it cannot be accepted

Kmart will not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product's value. For example, a $2 off coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate. If there are exceptions, Kmart is usually provided advance notice by the manufacturer.

Coupons will be rejected if they appear distorted or blurry, altered in any way, or are obvious duplicates.

Kmart will not accept "FREE product" (no purchase required) print-at-home coupons. It is currently an industry practice not to produce print-at-home manufacturer's coupons for free product. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable.

This does not answer my question at all. Why is it that I was told by your customer service center that other store flyers would not be accepted to honor the double coupon event, but another person was told that it would be honored?

The customer service has no idea what they are talking about. If you have a copy of the ad, I would definately try! The worst they can say is no. And hopefully your store will be participating in may!

We just got our Kmart AD in the sunday paper and it is advertised right on front.

There's no doubles here this week, nothing in the ad, and they refuse to honor doubles. But I will be taking this email in with me and complaining if they aren't doing doubles this week in May.

Finally the doubles gods have decided to visit my area again!!! I almost wet myself this morning!!

I am going as soon as lunch is over!!

I called my store this AM even though my ad doesn't say doubles, just in case. The guy that answered sound like he actually comprehended my question and knew that answer (BIG shock). He said they are not particpating this week, but will probably be doing it in the future. I am crossing my coupons that means we will get it on May 3rd.

May 3rd is my birthday, that would be a great birthday present if doubles came back here again that weekend!

Holy cow!! I wish my store would triple if that means they would double anything from .76 up to 4.00---imagine the possibilities!! My store has never done the triples always doubles so I am thankful for that. Here's hoping for my store to participate one way or the other in May!
