I called the Bellevue Hwy. 100 store today and asked if they were going to match HT triples beginning tomorrow. The cs person said they didn't know for sure. They are waiting on corporate word and then will set the registers accordingly. She said to call back tomorrow morning.

So, call your local Nashville area store to see if they are participating before you go.

The ones that I know usually participate are: Bellevue stores (hwy. 100 and hwy 80), Bellmeade, Edmondson Pike and Nippers Corner (that may be Edmondson Pk., not sure) and possibly a couple others.

I am leaving to go on a women's retreat and this is going to make it that much more stressful to get everything done and go Krogering too! I can't pass up a triple sale though!

I will update this thread when I hear if they are tripling.

I just got off the phone at the hwy. 100 AND the hwy 70 stores... they ARE tripling beginning now!

Yep....triples is soooo much better at Kroger rather than going to HT. The only thing I picked up from HT was the sourdough bread, Scrubbing Bubbles and Sweet Sue. Did anyone notice HT wasn't packed with people? I definitely think Kroger is taking away their business!

Do you have to have an HT ad or anything like that for them to match it?

Anyone know the answers to my questions above?

Also any tips on how those Kroger stores are as far as how many q's are doubled/tripled in one order?

tripling to .99

limit of 20 q's per order and limit of 3 orders per time through lane but you can go out and come back in do more orders.


It's a little over 2hrs drive for me one way and dh is even considering it after what he saw me do at Kroger last night with just mega deals.

Sorry, I just saw your post. I see that you found your answers, just be sure you visit a Kroger location within 1-2 miles of HT because not all locations are tripling. If you need specifics LMK.

I have almost stopped tripling at HT because the prices are so much better at Kroger, especially with the mega deal going on. Also, coupons labeled as DND are accepted, unlike HT. Love the fact that you can do multiple transactions, again unlike HT.

Sorry Foggy, I was out of town since Thursday afternoon at a women's retreat.. when they triple it is to .99 face value. When they super double it is to $1.99 face value. Limit 20 Q's per transaction. HT is 20 q's per day. I asked at the service desk and they said per transaction and I usually get one, take to car go back get another.. some people were just separating them on the conveyor belt.

I did three transactions for a combined saving of 78%. Lots of free stuff. I would make another run before Tuesday and the sale ends if I could. This week the duracell batteries are $1.88 and I have some .75 q's. ... let's home we get a super double in a couple of weeks.. as rumors have said..

Dh actually made the comment when I told him that they were tripling.... "Would it be worth the trip?" I looked at him stunned for a minute as he NEVER says that too me! I usually mention it and that's it or ask about going and it gets shot down. BUT this time, he mentioned it and..... WE WENT!!

I got $412.91 at Kroger in BellMeade for $34.34. We had an awesome cashier named Jenna. I gave her a WUC card as well as 3 customers who stopped to ask me about my binder.... Tania was one, another was a sweet lady who was originally from Egypt who told me her name but I can't remember it enough to try to spell it, and another lady. I've given out about 5 or so WUC cards just this weekend.

Then we went up the street to HT and I was soooo disappointed in their prices. Sticker Shock!! Cool 2-story store though with the elevator, escalator and cartalator. (yeah, I'm a country girl and big cities amuse me. ) Never seen nor been in a 2 story grocery store.

I only did one order and paid $32.16 and saved $46.21 BUT had to go back into the store for a free q that the cashier never scanned. She was just haphazardly pushing the q's around on her register area and had I not been watching her, she would have missed 5-6 of them. So I got back $1.76 for the free q. Dh had to have a few things I didn't have a q for and I bought a few other things without q ($1 bag of bananas, olives for oldest ds for a snack on the way home, drinks for dh and me, etc -- that was about $13 of the total!! YIKES!). Avoid Shanayla if you go there!! She was too busy wanting to talk to the cs guy, Kevin. grrr.

We got back home a little after 3 am!!!
