I went into Kroger today for a quick run through for the free/cheap items. I got:
10 Philly Cream Cheese
10 Meow Mix Cat food
7 Kraft dressings
2 Fuze Drinks
2 Oscar Meyer sandwich meats
2 Kraft BBQ Sauces
3 2 liter Dr Peppers
2 Uncle Ben's rices
4 Kraft Easy Macs
2 loaves Kroger Bread
1 pack paper plates
6 cans of Grands biscuits
10 bags of Wonka exceptionals
Used:
5 1/2 Meow Mix
2 5/5 Kraft coupons
2 1/1 Uncle Ben's
7 .55/1 Kraft dressing
1 1/2 Fuze (All you magazine)
1 1/2 Oscar Meyer deli sliced sandwich meat
10 1.50/1 Wonka exceptionals
2 .30/2 Grands biscuits

I had looked for the Wonka exceptionals, as I read that they were part of the buy 10 get 5 promotion, and couldn't find them. As my DD and I were going to check out, she saw them in a display at the front. I pulled the coupons back out and got 10 bags of them. Before scanning my card and coupons, my total was 127.94. The cashier and bag boy were laughing and guessing how much my total would be...I said it should be about 30, and it came up as 42.38. When I got out to the car, I started looking at my receipt. All the Wonka chocolates rang up at 3.50 each! I got back out, went into the store to check the price label, then went straight to customer service. After a very nice cashier corrected the error, I got a 15.45 credit, making the total 26.93! I used to avoid Kroger at all costs (in my precoupon ignorance), but I won't buy groceries anywhere else without looking here first now Great customer service can't be beat.

That's awesome! My Friskies cat treats didn't ring up as mega-sale for some reason last nite & I thought my total was a little high...when I checked my receipt, I finally found it & my Kroger fixed it no problem! I really like my Kroger & LOVE that I don't have to go to Walmart almost ever!!

the thing is I end up at CS EVERY time because of a mistake on my receipt and it gets old.

My Kroger's give u the item free if it rings up wrong. Only 1 item...if you buy 10 its still only one item. This is posted behind the service desk. I thought it was a company wide rule. Perhaps you should check!
