There's one awesome Target cashier that's enthusiastic to see my savings, and I just love her. It really stinks when they make you feel *sneaky* about using coupons. "Oh, here comes the crazy coupon lady *big sigh*" Ugh...

You did such a detailed writing, and I am proud of you for standing up for yourself and for us couponers! I think you did a great job, and i want to say THANKS! I can't wait to hear what their response will be. Don't feel ashamed for writing to corporate, if people didn't complain, or let them know how their store employees are doing, they'd never know what goes on!
I wrote to a Kroger corporate online once because this store I had gone to was nasty. They had food all over their floor, produce on the floor, and no soap or paper towels in their restroom. They responded back

Stand your ground. I had his twin sister tonite. That is that last time I will shop at that Kroger. I will contact corp just like you are. Good for you. I ended up taking my q's and telling her to cancel my order, I will go shop at a friendly Kroger. Tried to make me PAY for 2 snuggle and would not use my Q's. Then she got on the phone to someone in the back speaking LOUD about how my bill was only 5.95 and I didn't want to pay it! WTH

So good for you. I'm going after this store to. After 10 years of shopping there, the last 3 with lot's of Q's and they treat me like a thief every time I step in there. I was in line and she grabbed my cart and pulled it over to another lane and started scanning my stuff. We have had problems before so I know she did it on purpose. If I'm checking out she will come over and watch the cashier. Never bothered me before, because I know I'm not doing anything wrong.

What has happened to this store. Can't afford to pay a real human to manage there so they get the nasty ones!! GGGRRR I want to hear every tiny little thing they say. See if mine says the same thing, like a generic answer.

OMG Terrible!!! If they respond....i'd love an update!!!

and to jmorris's point...I rarely get hassled ever. Not sure if it's b/c I'm a guy....but it's extremely rare.

When it does happen (and I'm not at one of my home stores) I make sure to cause a scene!!!! I don't take kindly to being treated badly!!!!

I believe that most women dont like to cause a scene and that is why they hassle us, I get this at my krogers quiet often. And then I hear how they are firing the cashiers due to the coupon issues they have had but I never seem to see the cashiers that I usually go to get fired. Wish I had another store closer to go too but unfortunately I don't.

Alright, y'all, I want to hear what happens. This is my Kroger, too, and I haven't been there much lately, but if they try any funny stuff with me, I will throw a HISSY fit right there.

My K has a policy limiting 3 of the same Q's per transaction, not just dbl or tpl.

I found out the hard way on Sunday trying to use 4 Q's on 4 items and the cashier scrambled to find her lil placard (a simple txt printed 1/2 sheet of paper with lamination on it) stating such. She had to go 2 registers over to get it. I bit my tongue and said I will have to keep that in mind for next time. The Q was only for $.40 and I was getting 3 cheesy boxed potatoes for $.20 a box, and one for a $1. As I left I looked at main store entrance, where they had recalls and (tacky) handwritten poster 'managers' specials, and did not see any notification of coupon limits.

I am very curious to see what they have to say also!

I was in the store on Benton Road the other day. I had to do 5 transactions because I was told, when I walked in the store, that they only take 1 like coupon per transaction to double or triple. I told my clerk that I had 5 transactions to do and she asked me if I was doing the Mega Sale because that was unlimited in a single transaction and I said yes but I'm doing the 5 transactions so my Q's will double and triple. She told me right then that they will do up to 3 like Q's per transaction. I told her about asking at the CS desk and they said only 1. To avoid having problems I went ahead with my 5transactions, she was VERY helpful and nice by the way. My neighbor went with me to the store and she told me that her mom had just been the night before and used 3 like Q's in the same transaction so she was going to try. She had the girl ring up her Carnation milk and then use her 3 Q's and it doubled all 3. I was so mad!!! I got in the car, so I'd have time to cool off, and called the manager. He got on the phone and I said "How many coupons will you double or triple in the same transaction?" He put me on hold because he didn't know and had to ask. He came back and said 1! I told him that no, infact they do 3. I told him about "all of the above" and that I didn't understand why they would tell me one thing and do another. I told him that I didn't understand why no one in that store was really sure how many they took. I also told him that if Albertson's could do 4 why couldn't they do 3. It will take up less time and keep from having to have so many cashiers because there is someone with 5 transactions holding up the line. He said that he was going to have to figure out what was going on but that they were only supposed to do 1. It's SOOOOO STUPID!!!!! If they didn't have such good sales I would stop going there. I got $215 worth of groceries though for $74.50. I couldn't pass that up! UGH!!!!!
