I have a really big problem with all these stores that lure couponing customers in with seemingly "coupon-friendly" policies like doubling every day, and then make it as hard as possible to use those coupons. It's tricky, misleading and wrong. What difference does it make if the coupon says DND or not? Lowe's knows they're going to be taking the financial hit, the coupon company isn't going to reimburse them for twice the coupon amount whether they actually put DND or not.
And I don't know about Lowe's prices, but if they are anything like HTs, they better be careful. With their high prices, if it wasn't for us couponers giving them so much business, I wonder if they could afford to stay open at all...
When HT stopped doubling DND coupons, I emailed Corp concerning the same issue. I let them know that they were making it harder and harder for consumers to get good deals and that thier prices were too high for most of us to shop there without the deals. I never got a response back so I guess they don't need our business.
It is frightening to see how many stores are "tightening" thier coupon policies and making it harder for us to save money. You would think that they would be easing up a bit to help everyone out.
