Ok, when did Meijer stop doubling coupons that say "Do not double". I went to get the Smithfield bacon today thinking the 0.55 cent coupon would go to $1 like all the other times But no, I even spoke with a Meijer employee who said they (Meijer) are making changes.She even said the stores are competing against one another on customer service. Told me call the number on the receipt and give the store a 1 for horrible or 5 for perfect. Just might have to call about my meat counter lady today who was offended that I wanted ground beef from chuck for FREE. Sorry for so long but just had to get this out there.

Couponing is

Did the coupon you were trying to use start with a "9" or "5". My store won't double if it says not to but only if it starts with a "9".

Right....if the coupon starts with a 5 GENERALLY it will double anyways....but if it starts with a NINE, then it won't double.

Same thing happened to me and a friend of mine...

The coupon starts with a 5. I've never had Meijer refuse to double a coupon. I think that it is because the bacon would have been 79 cents.

I am really getting frustrated with them lately and with all the money I saved at kroger's mega sale... It's just not worth only 2 identicle coupons doubling and now not knowing if a coupon will double at all. such a hassle!

My Meijer stores double automatically... How can a cashier pick and choose what does or doesn't double? I'm a little confused!

I went through a Uscan the other night and my Fab or Dynamo coupons doubled but the Uscan attendant was in manual mode or whatever they call it. On one order, he doubled all 3 but my other order he only doubled the usual 2.

I made a Meijer run today but the only coupon I used there today was the $3 Gloworm IP.

Thank you to all who have responded. My coupon starts with a "5". Something has happened in the last two weeks in their systems. That is when I was there last because of the Mega Sale. I will give them a call tomorrow since it is Saturday night. BTW went to Kroger and got the same bacon for a penny more than Meijer's price. I'm very happy to get Smithfield for under $2.

PS: the coupon does say not to double but that has not been the case EVER with my Meijers, every coupon I have used doubles until today and I went thru a Uscan lane.

I found DND - 5 programed at Lowes that might explain the problem at Meijer! Sounds like Meijer (YMMV, for now at least) has updated their system too!
