I did that in 2007/2008. I had a mission I needed to raise money for, so I went through and got multiple gift card deals, then sold the gift cards. Paid for a week long mission to Guatemala. (which is the same trip where I first learned of Mr Coupon, before he was Mr Coupon! ) The coupons paid for the items that earned the gift cards.

It can be done! Go Mr and Mrs Coupon!!
