Okay, so I don't always go to my sons wrestling meets, because my husband is the coach and has to stay all day, my 19 month old doesn't have the patience for it.

Anyway- I found a sitter, and am literally going coke code crazy!!! Between matches my daughter and I walk around and ask people if I can throw away their empty bottles :-0

I've already got 60 caps!

FWIW, since your husband is one of the coaches, maybe people will think that you and your daughter are just being tidy and conscientious. I mean you want to make sure and leave the gym nice for the next group who has to use it, right?

Or people may not think at all because they are too busy watching the matches.

My husband would fall over if I checked the trash! I'm sure there thousands in there. Its a huge meet, probably 20 trash cans......O how I want to tho ;-/

Well we scored!! We ended up getting 13 Dr pepper caps..........and 168 Coke product caps!!

My son was last to finish, he came in 4th in a 8 man bracket-- so we were last out. I ended up walking the bleachers after everyone left. We picked up only the coke products. I was astonished at how disgusting people are, has society as a whole forgot about manors and common decency. There were left over food all over, kids throwing cheese cups/food of all sorts. And I'm pretty sure 80% of the people whom sat in the bleachers did not clean up a single item after themselves or children!! I was disgusted, at peoples arrogance. Somebody has to clean all the $hit up, but as long as its not them they do not care. I feel sorry for the people who have to go pick up after 1,000 lazy disrespectful people and I'm sure they do not get paid enough!!

Okay, I'll stop or the FL may move this to rants!! Lol

WAY TO GO on the coke points!! And I agree, people are just plain lazy. When you can't take your garbage with you and put in trash can as you leave that is just plain disrespectful when visiting somewhere. I have an idea. Ask your husband to make an announcement at the end of the meet to PLEASE take your garbage and deposit in the trash as you leave. Maybe then some people would get their head out of their butts and help put the gym back in the condition it was when the meet started in the morning.

While he is a coach-- he is not an official-- so I honestly don't know why the officials dont do that!!! And yes-- I know accidents happen, but this was disgusting :-( even my daughter was like "should we pick up these other things, just to be nice". -- smh -- " no baby we don't have time, your brother is almost up"-- I wanted to say YES :-)

Your not crazy at all for picking up those lids! I do the same thing. My brother is the head HS football coach where we live and my boys play all sports so he put me in charge of booster club stuff but one of the perks is staying after all the games and getting all those coke and powerade lids. Most times we get 100's of lids after a Friday night hame. He's even been known to have some of the boys who are ineligible or in trouble pick up lids under the bleachers...LOL. Just know that us lid collectors do not think you are crazy and are envious of your find and know what excitement it feels like to find that many lids but the people in the stands.....probably not so much,JKKeep up the good work!
