I'm in MD and we're awaiting Sandy and hoping it's not too bad. Last year we got a scare with Irene but she wasn't as bad as predicted so I'm hoping it's the same this time. Either way we are taking precautions and I hope everyone stays safe and well stocked up just in case. Anyhow, I was so excited that I had a 25% off and a 20% off, so I went in to my CVS with no plan just a mental note of all the deals I wanted to get. I had all my coupons cut and ready. Here's what I got:
2 Herbal Essence (1 shampoo and 1 mousse) * 2.99x2= 5.98 2 Thermacare * 6.79x2= 13.58 2 Pampers * 8.99x2= *17.98 1 Bounty Towels 6 pack * 5.77 1 Honey Nut Cheerios * 1.88 2 Covergirl Outlast * BOGO 8.99+4.49= 13.48 2 Covergirl Liptsticks * BOGO 6.79+3.39= 10.18 4 Revlon toe clippers * 4.29x4= 17.16 2 Aveeno Hydrating BW * 7.79x2= 15.58 2 Aveeno Lotions * 7.99x2= 15.98 1 PF lip gloss * 9.99 1 Hydro Silk Refills * 18.29 1 Hydro Silk Razor * 12.49 1 Nexxus Shampoo * 10.49 COUPONS USED: 1 BOGO HE * auto-deducted 6.99 2 $3/1 Thermacare IP 2 $2/1 Pampers 1 $3/$15 Baby Care (CVS Q) 1 $1/1 Bounty 1 .50/1 Honey Nut Cheerios IP 1 $3/2 Covergirl cosmetics 1 $2/1 Outlast (CVS Q) 1 $5/2 Covergirl Lip Products 1 BOGO Hydro silk razor free wyb Hydro silk refill IP 1 $6/1 Hydro Silk refill FB IP 1 $3/1 Nexxus (CVS Q) 1 25% OFF * 24.58 1 20% OFF * 14.75 43 in ECBs **Total BEFORE CVS Card, Coupons, & ECBs: $191.19 **Total OOP after all discounts/coupons: $40.43 OOP (High I know but I love Shick Silk Razors and Aveeno products so it was worth it to me plus I did still save $157.34!!!) ECBS RECEIVED: $10 P&G $5 ADVIL $15 AVEENO $14 REVLON $6 PF AND A $10/$50 CVS Q PRINTED ON THE BOTTOM OF MY RECEIPT I will also get $10 in Beauty rewards and .50 from SavingStar for my HN Cheerios I took this opportunity to buy EXPENSIVE Aveeno products because I love Aveeno! So with my % off coupons and the ECBs I got back I knew I'd save a lot! So I stocked up. As you may have noticed I forgot to use my Aveeno coupons and I realized this after paying. My cashier had been scrutinizing every coupon I used and almost wouldn't let me use the BOGO Hydro Silk coupon because it beeped but the manager came to push it through after looking at my items. So when I went back to let my cashier know I forgot to use my 2- $3/2 Aveeno coupons she carefully read the coupons and let me know about the 1 PER PERSON exclusion. I had just bought my coupons and clipped them in the car so I didn't note that (oops!) but I'm glad she noted it. So she let me use 1 $3/1 q and $1/1 q and I got back $4 in cash. So really I paid $36.43 oop and got back $50 in ECBs!! I also have another $10 beauty rewards that printed today and I forgot to use so I'll have $70 in ECBs next time I shop. So is this trip considered a MM? I'm still not good at figuring it out. ![]() ![]() |

You did awesome!!! How I figure out if something is a MM is adding up what I paid in wether it be ECBs and /or Cash. You paid $79.43 total (cash and ECBs) and walked away with $60 in ECBs correct because $10 came from the red machine and was part of a previous purchase? Therefore, $79.43-$60 in ECBs back from today's trip= like you paid $19.43 for all. Not bad.

For example this week the Revlon deal is buy (2)/Get $7 in EBs. I would only do this deal if I could roll into it and had a $/$$ or a lot of EBs to absorb some of the OOP. The cheapest deal at my store was $2.19 for a nail clipper. I would not pay $4.38 plus tax OOP for a $7 EB; but I'd definitely use the deal to roll EBs that were ready to expire. |

In either case, that's a lot of product for +/- $20 in OOP. |
