Default YES WE CAN aluminum can drive

Okay I'm doing a fundraiser for my mom's knee replacement. She had both knees done but the very last day we were moving from our old address, she tripped and landed hard on her left side. She thought she had busted some ribs and knew for sure something was wrong with her left knee. Dr at ER looked at her knee (no X-ray told her it was okay shakes my head fat forward almost 2 y and several times of having problems with that knee swelling up) Drs finally do X-Ray tell her it's broken and needs to be replaced. Hmmm yeah we knew that already. She was scheduled for surgery in October of last year until 2weeks before before surgery the surgeon told her that they needed $500. Only income in house is mom's Social security disability check so that $500 might as well be $5,000 :-(
I started this fundraiser to try to get her surgery money together. So far I've raised $100 :-) between cash donations and taking off our first load of scrap metal and aluminum cans :-) I started asavings account at local bank to put the money onto there to keep it safe until we have enough to pay off some of the bills.

Sorry if there's typos lol I can't see most of what I've written now cuz I'm on my cell phone.

I was wondering if anybody could give me any advice about where to ask about aluminum cans and to sorta spread the word about my mom and what we are trying to do for her.

Thanks fromJamie aka FreSpiritVhick :-)

My little house in fl is in a town that funds their firework show off of cans. This show is better than any of the big cities. They have a dumpster co that donated use of a wagon type thing and the citizens go by and put their can in there. Fireworks have been fully funded each year and money aside for years to come. Might ask a couple of businesses that have a lot of employees if you can put a trash can there with a sign on it...alumun can donations.

Very creative plan by the way

A post on craigslist would be free. Locate a business place that would agree to be a drop off point. Assure them you will come get cans daily. Ask for people to save and sroo them by. Maybe a dry cleaners or something.
